Booked for 6 days for much needed break for myself and sons to relax as burnt out from work also coincided with my sons 24th birthday, on day due to check in owner informed me they had someone checking out at 11am and would i mind coming around 2pm to give time to clean, i said not a problem as live in Malta and would come around 4.30pm to ensure could clean properly and not rush. When we arrived i was not impressed at all, pool dirty and around it could not see the white. Bathroom upstairs was dirty and on table in living room was a crisp that had been there for god knows how long. Nothing had been wiped over and you could have wrote your name in the dust. I could not sleep for first night and myself and sons was up at 6.30am next day cleaning (was my sons birthday) once we got it presentable and pool and area around it as clean as possible (the sun loungers would not even come clean with neat bleach) we managed to relax a bit.. Beautiful old house and TBH would not have taken a lot to spend to make it nice, no excuse at all for uncleanliness of place and the pics on site must have been taken a very long time ago. If you read this review and still book go with a realistic picture in your mind and a bag full of cleaning products.

We booked this farmhouse for our second extended family holiday in Gozo for two reasons. The first was the price. Compared to other properties it is offered at an extremely good price. The second reason was that it offered a free internet connection. As we were there for 2 weeks we needed communications with the outside world. On these two front the property delivered 100%.
On the negative side I was a little alarmed to see on our arrival that the farmhouse has a For Sale on the roadside wall. It occurred to me that we could have been contacted after we had booked up to be told the property had been bought and our booking cancelled. I understand that an owner may wish to sell while letting are in progress but you want to get a written guarantee from the owner on booking that the holiday will not be cancelled due to a sale.
The other negative factor was that the place was less than spic and span. Curtains hung half off rails with broken clips, a toilet bowl had come adrift from its floor fittings and the gas barbecue was beyond use. Our first trip to the supermarket had us buying bleach and other cleaning materials, as well as a new barbecue.
That said we had a great time. The price did reflect very good value for money and the internet connection was fast and reliable. Kelly was helpful, friendly and attentive. And by the time we left the road building work was almost completed. The finished job will mean this ancient, quaint building is very well placed right at the heart of the village.
If we return to Gozo for another holiday we would give very serious consideration to rebooking this farmhouse.

The owner met us and took us to the property. This is an excellent value for money property and is very old and quaint. .The swimming pool is a fairly good size and nice and deep. The kitchen has all you will need if you want to cook on your hols. This property is in a quite little village (although when we were there they were building a new road) with just a little shop and a lovely restaurant. You should really get a car to enjoy Gozo and all its sights. I would highly recommend this property. Thanks Kelly.

Beautiful old farmhouse in a great location just off the town square. Full of character and charm. The small pool was perfect for the children. The kitchen was had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. A perfect base from which to explore the beautiful island of Gozo.

Very quite place to stay for a relaxing holiday.
The home is well equipped and it is a pleasure to stay there in an old-fashion gozo palace.
Definitely suggested to other guests
we had a great time at the farmhouse. Dwjera Bay and the stunning Azure Window are about a 20-minute walk from the house, and a bus across the street takes you to Victoria, where you can transfer buses to get to other Gozo beaches & sights. The stone farmhouse kept very cool in the hot weather and comfortably slept 5 people, and the atmosphere was very peaceful, clean, charming, and quiet. Tatitas, a restaurant a couple doors down, has great food.
A very nice farmhouse in a very nice and quiet village.
Kelly( the owner ) was very friendly and helpful
Would definitely recommend it and even come back again.
We visited in May 2012 and found the house to have everything you would need. There was a shop across the road that sold gorgeous crusty bread and real butter which we had every morning for breakfast. My children thought they were living in an old Gozo castle! Its a great location just beside azure window and a short drive to Victoria. We had a wonderful holiday in Gozo such lovely people. We have recommended this house to family and friends and hope one day to return again soon. The only thing was the pool was cold as we were early in the season but it did not stop us enjoying it anyway and having bbq most evenings.
This is a lovely farmhouse, full of character, nooks and crannies, open one door and theres another beautiful bedroom there etc. The kitchen is huge (we lived in the kitchen while we were there). Bedrooms are all double sized or much larger. Pool is great, not huge, but adequate.
The town of St Lawrenze is lovely, quiet, a nice bar and restaurant, shop and supermarket etc. Its right next to Dwerja for amazing sunsets, safe swimming, the Azure Window and Fungus Rock etc.
About the owner
