Villa St. Anna is located in between three villages, Marsascala, Marsaxlokk and Zejtun. It is situated in a quiet and secluded area yet just a few minutes away from all amenities.
The property has all amenities yet is not excessively large and offers comfort and relaxation. All bedrooms as well as the Kitchen dining area and the living area are all airconditioned.
Car transportation is a necessity even though public transport passes nearby, ideally two small cars would be rented instead of a people carrier (owner can arrange hire at favourable rates and make airport arrangements) this would allow flexibility and easier parking in the main touristic areas.
Villages and towns close by.
Villa st. Anna is situated in between three major locations, Marsascala, Marsaxlokk and Zejtun.
Marsascala is a typical seaside town, there are all necessities including a supermarket, pharmacy, car rentals , public transport and restaurants and shops, a beautiful promenade ideal for evening strolls as well as night clubs and bars that offer free big screen football viewing.
Marsaxlokk is the last typical fishing village in Malta, it is 5 minutes away from Villa St.Anna. It is a very quiet village where fisherman work out and prepare their nets on the waters edge. In Marsaxlokk there is an open market every day, with a huge open market on sundays. There are also a number of restaurants mostly specializing in sea food, some of which are very good and quiet cheap. Marsaxlokk is also perfect for relaxing walks or a nice swim.
Zejtun is 5 minutes away, one of the oldest cities of the island known as " Citta Beland" it has a typical maltese village layout with a large church at the centre of the village and many shops and band clubs. It is quiet a site to see and the church is magnificent and worth viewng. In Zejtun one finds all necessary emenities. In Zejtun one find Barbetta Bakery which makes typical old type pastries.

The farmhouse was not bad looking but it did not match my expectations from the description and photos shown on the website. The house was not very clean as the pool was dirty and we spent 4 days with barely enough water to wash as there was no pressure and at times NO WATER! What made my experience horrible over all was the BAD NEIGHBORS, who where not only unwelcoming but dictated what we should and should not do and told us not to make a sound ALL DAY which was impossible as we were a large group. On the whole I DO NOT RECOMMEND this farmhouse and i am most certain that i will NEVER go there again.... After nearly a month i am still waiting for my refundable deposit which i am most likely never going to get.... i am sorry to say this was definitely not worth my money or my time.

1) Swimming pool
When we arrived housekeeper was trying to fix a problem with the pump, which disabled its use. So after a long and hot journey from Gozo, we could not refresh ourselves in swimming pool, which we counted on and paid for.
The water in the swimming pool remained dirty/turbid until our departure. On top of that we found a plastic wine glass inside, when our son cut his leg!
Cockroaches were all around the house – in front of the main door, by the swimming pool, but also inside in the hall and bathroom on the 1st floor. The animals were a shock for us, as they are generally perceived as a feature of disaster hygienic environment.
There were dirty toilets and shower baths in the whole house – we were squeamish about them and had to clean them before use. The same holds true for kitchen equipment that needs complete disinfection.
4) Bad smell
There was no information in your marketing materials about the horrible bad smell from the pig farm and waste management plant in the neighborhoods.
5) Lost hand ring
Despite we asked housekeeper for sending us the lost/forgotten hand ring of our daughter, we have had no reply from him since.

We had a great holiday in villa santa anna. The large, open plan kitchen and living room area was ideal for us as a group of eight people to sit and socialise while cooking. Fantastic views from the upper floor balcony and the villa is in an excellant rural location within easy reach of urban areas (theres on road parking outside, enough for a couple of cars). The bbq proved useful too! The owner was very helpful, recommending restaurants nearby. We would definitely recommend this property.
A larger property than expected, lots of room and very private.A big thanks to Bernard and his wife for looking after us.
Our recent visit to Malta was made even better by the villa and the hospitality of the owner, Bernard.
We had problems finding the villa due to road closures near the airport. Bernard talked us through from the airport to the villa via mobile phone. Our pre arranged welcome pack was very substantial. The villa was spacious and well furnished.
A small problem with unexpected building work next door was quickly resolved - in fact we became very friendly with the builder!!!
Bernard was very helpful without being intrusive. He was always at the other end of the phone if we needed him.
One suggestion for the villa would be to have a small safe installed so that visitors would not have to carry passports, money etc around with them all the time.
We enjoyed our visit to Malta and would definately consider booking the villa again.
bernard was great villa was lovely had everything we needed, we went over as a party of 7 adults and there was plenty of space we never felt as though we were untop of one another.
The villa is not in a central location which suited us fine with a car but on the last night we wanted to go for drinks we couldnt get a cab into town "it was broken down" so one of us drove in thinking we would be able to get one home it was still broken and a very nice local gave us a lift dont know if this is always a problem.
overall fab house we had a great trip and would return,
thank you bernard
Excellent facilities, nice relaxing place.Bernard was fantastic organising pick ups and a hire car.He was always on the end of the phone if we had any issues but never intrusive.
Our family of six really enjoyed our holiday.
We arrived in Malta and our taxi was waiting, as promised. A short journey to the villa and we were very pleased with the accomodation. Bernard met us at the property with the keys and was very helpful and accomodating. He has really thought of everything thats needed to makes his guests holiday comfortable and enjoyable.
The villa is very spacious and comfortable and the airconditioning was a welcome feature, especially as we were lucky with the weather!
I would definitely recommend to a friend, although car hire would be a must.
Thanks for a wonderful experience
The property was very spacious and clean. It was well thought out and had everything we needed. The location was nice and quiet but was only a short drive to lively Marsacala. Would deffinately go back. Bernard the owner was very helpful not only when we were booking the holiday but also once we had arrived.
Our stay at Villa Santa Anna was most enjoyable. The villa was comfortable and met all our needs. We very much liked the quiet country surrounding. Beautiful sunrise images. A very short drive into Marsascala brought us to the food market and Marina Street Cafes. We highly recommend this this properity and plan to return.
