2 bedroom villa rental in Sicily, Italy, with private pool
September 2019

PURE HEAVEN Just back from a wonderful 2 weeks in this charming, rustic property. We spent the days listening to the sounds of nature and smelling the gorgeous scents of rural Sicily. At night we, sat with a glass of local wine, by the fantastically illuminated pool, watching the stars and listening to the hypnotic sound of crickets. After a particularly trying few months this magical place has recharged our batteries. If you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful place, far enough away but near enough to visit the local towns (we did the Montalbano areas), then this is the place. Piero, the owner, is the most accommodating and helpful host who gave us tips on local towns and local restaurants. Giarratana is a short drive away and is a friendly place in which we enjoyed many good meals and excellent morning coffees. We loved this cottage and intend to return!

We highly recommend this property. You need a car to get there but it is within short but steep walking distance to the town (no more than 20 minutes uphill home) so we walked in most of the time. Excellent bars, restaurants and a gelateria what more can you want. The drive to Scario was about 25 minutes winding down the hill and the same distance to Marina di Camerota. All in all great location. The house itself is private with neighbours near but not within sight. The overnight sprinkler system kept the grass in front of the property lush and was well tended so we enjoyed sunbathing on the sun beds. Well equipped kitchen and good sized bedrooms. We never return to the same place but on this occasion .... well we are tempted.

4 bedroom villa with private pool in Campania, Italy
July 2019

Fantastic villa with excellent views over the bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Our host Francesco was very good and ensured our stay was enjoyable, he couldn’t do enough for us and helped with restaurant and excursion bookings. The pizza making night at the villa was one of the highlights of our holiday! This villa has the wow factor, both outside and in, the pool is a nice temperature and there are many different terraces to relax. Highly recommended!

4 bedroom Sicilian holiday villa rental with private pool
June 2019

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Giuliana, the owner we could not have asked for more. The location of the property is stunning, situated high above the beach with panoramic views along the coastline. The property itself is well appointed with four bedrooms, two on the ground floor, ideal for either young or more mature, two on the first floor. There is plenty of seating in different areas, full sun, fully shade, or partial shade depending on your requirements. Giuliana made our stay very special, she was always available with advice on sites to visit, location of supermarkets, both in Porto Palo and in the larger nearby town of Menfi. She was also able to give us a steer on the local restaurants, again both in Porto Palo and in Menfi as to which were the better ones and which were best avoided, together with an indication of cost. Whilst Giuliana told us to use her home as our own, we did so with respect, which was reflected in the way we were treated by the owners. I speak very little Italian, Giuliana speaks a little more English, but between us, and with the help of Google Translate, we have had a wonderful holiday, which I will look back on for many years with fond memories. I really can't see how our experience could have been improved upon.

Stayed in this lovely away from it all area last year House is just so rural and yet everything u need is provided Very hot spell when we there so some sort of electric fan for bedroom would have been good but rest of house very cool Please be aware it’s very much off the beaten track and you need a car full stop The 3km journey up the hill is shall we say interesting but not impossible and is made up for by the beautiful views and isolation Will be back for a chill next year for sure

3 bedroom villa to rent in Tuscany, Italy
May 2019

This is a great location (down a track from the SP50 road) and is generally quiet apart from obvious agricultural activity in the vineyards. The property is 3 bedrooms but note that one of them (the twin) is the thoroughfare from one side of the house to the other. The house is effectively two apartments linked together. You can access each separately from the outside if needed. There are two bathrooms (the third is under the house in the utility area). The property has everything you’d need for your stay. Nearest supermarket is the Coop (huge) in Certaldo. The pizzeria a couple of km from the house is excellent, but go early as it is very popular with locals later on. Visit the Certaldo old town it’s really attractive. It’s a short walk up the hill from the main square or use the funicular if it’s open. Street parking in town is very cheap.
