This is a delightful spot, the traditional setting of the accommodation set off by the soothing, rural surroundings. Here you can relax by the pool or in the gardens, sipping a local wine or sampling some of the local delicacies.

As well as your ‘welcome’ meal, there is an opportunity to attend weekly cooking courses held by Mrs Migone, learning the preparation of such local delights as wild boar stew. You can bake your own bread in the outside wood-oven, pick your own vegetables and fruit, and eat out under the brilliantly-starred sky of Tuscany.

The setting is beautiful and romantic, ideal for wedding receptions and banquets, both of which can be organised by the owners. The largest of the apartments was recently used as a set for Renzo Martinelli’s ‘Piazza delle Cinque Lune’ starring Donald Sutherland, Giancarlo Giannini and F. Murray Abraham.

The apartments are suitable for from four to six guests, and have been carefully and tastefully decorated and furnished with period pieces and antiques. The traditional whitewashed walls offer a contrast to the vibrant, warm colours of terracotta tiles and wooden fixtures, with a result that is both airy and welcoming.

Each apartment is fully fitted and equipped, with excellent kitchen facilities, modern bathrooms and spacious, comfortable sleeping accommodation. Each of the apartments has its own delights; all have remarkable views of the vineyards, the friendly village of Ville di Corsano, or even distant Siena.

This is a magnificent three bedroom apartment located in the upper part of the farmhouse, on the ground floor, offering the best views across the vineyards and the clay hills.

Apartment LA LIMONAIA for 2+2 people
Located on the ground floor with fantastic views over the vineyards. One double bedroom, one bathroom with shower, living room with sofa bed for 2 people and kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher.

La Tenuta is a peaceful, stress-free country estate which produces Tuscany's famed Chianti wines as well as olive oil, fruit and vegetables. For many guests the opportunity to relax by the pool, sit with a book under the shade of a fruit tree, or stroll through the grounds is all it takes to make a perfect vacation.

The pretty hamlet of Ville di Corsano is 800 meters from La Tenuta (population 200) and it is a friendly little place with a small supermarket, a post office, two restaurants and a winery. Other attractions include the Castle of Grotti, a mediæval tower and a renowned eleventh century church.

Other local attractions include the town of Monteroni D’Arbia (10 km) with several bars and restaurants, a large supermarket, banks and a post office. Also nearby is the little town of Murlo, well worth visiting for its Etruscan remains. The soft, almost lunar hillscape of the ‘Crete Senesi’ offers some spectacular walking or driving, and the famous Benedictine abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore is a popular destination.

The high point of the area has got to be the walled city of Siena (Sienna), protected by its imposing red walls from the destruction of modern developers. A vitally important influence on the Renaissance, in vigorous competion with Florence, it has a fantastic concentration of palaces and art galleries, churches and museums, restaurants and boutiques... There is an active and exciting social calendar of exhibitions, concerts and markets, dominated by the world-famous Palio.

If you want to travel a bit more, you well placed to explore the wineries and vineyards of Chianti, drive or take a train up to Florence, or even divert eastwards into rural Umbria with the attraction of Etruscan remains and water sports at Lake Trasimeno.

We recommend that you hire a car, in order to best see the hidden treasures of Tuscany!

Only 12 kilometres from the wonders of Siena (Sienna), La Tenuta is a timeless Chianti estate of rolling vineyards and silver-leaved olive trees.

enuta Di Corsano - La Limonaia Our family was searching for a venue for our daughter’s wedding near Siena she had chosen to be married on my husband’s and mine 30th Wedding Anniversary, her 29th birthday and my 50th – we had a great deal to celebrate. We all count ourselves honored to have had Lilliana and husband, their daughter Francesca + Sylvia as our hosts. The arrangements started over one year in advance, and at every turn, they took care of every detail with loving care. The properties themselves are gorgeous: the website and pictures do not do justice to the natural beauty and old world charm of the estate. The rooms are decorated comfortably yet in an old world fashion: one part of the house is over 400 years old! The pools and grounds are impeccable. We worried that having all of us under one roof might be uncomfortable (~30 of us) but the privacy in each apartments gave us room to be separate while letting us enjoy one another’s company. Lilliana is an exceptional chef: her welcome meal was pronounced the best meal we had in all of Italy (several of our guests said it was the best meal of their life!). We enjoyed an exceptional tour of Siena a week prior to the Paoli, thanks to her introduction of an expert historical guide. We hosted our daughter’s weddings on the grounds – photographer, flowers, local musicians, caterer, wine from the estate and an amazing cake (whose identify I still don’t know) all coupled with exquisite decorations… all done remotely via email, and all carefully selec ted by Silvia, Francesca and Lilliana. My sister said, “It was like a fairy-tale”. It was stunning, and we owe everything to these lovely women’s good taste. I could not give a higher recommendation: we trusted them with one of the most important days in our family’s life. Our thanks to the gracious and hardworking Migone Family. Tenuta Di Corsano is a wonderful place with extremely friendly and helpful owners and close to lovely Siena. The apartment was nice and big enough and the surroundings excellent with a stonning view overlooking the vinyard. Walking distance to the small town and plenty to see in the area. Noisy machines in the morning some days but it does not overshadow the charm of staying in a vineyard. We can most certainly recommend the place in magical Toscany. Lilian C. - Karlslunde (Denmark)
Hosts were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. accomodation was excellent, as were the facilities. would go back tomorrow!!! should definately have a cookery lesson from Lilliana, value for money and very instructive.
Dear Silvia, We really do appreciate the special price we have been given from you and I know that we shall have a wonderful time in Corsano. Anyway, thank you for being so gracious about this matter. It's great that you have such a wonderful command of English also!My husband and I are arriving in Firenze on 24 June and plan to spend the night in Firenze or nearby. Are there any hotels you could recommend? Thanks for all your help. Evelyn
