Villa overview

This property really is unlike any other! You'll be taken almost immediately by the sheer beauty of the setting and striking lighthouse building, at the very southern tip of the island of Sardinia. This stunning red vista breathes passion from the outset and somehow these hues fit seamlessly into the surrounding Sardinian hillside.
Steeped in history, the Faro Rosso is part of the Faro Rosso Estate which was originally built in 1850 as a lighthouse to guide ships through the tumultuous seas. 160 years on and the light is still shining, still guiding ships to safety except now the Faro Rosso is also guiding it's guests through their best ever Sardinian escape.
Surrounding this cliffside settlement and enveloping visitors at nearly every angle are the idyllic panoramic views of the nearby Mediterranean Sea. Views like these playfully hint at more and encourage inspiration, relaxation and reignite forgotten passions.
Faro Rosso is set over 4 levels and the main property contains four suites, comfortably sleeping up to eight people. However, beyond this, the Faro Rosso is also home to a further two mini apartments. These are set away from the main building in the wonderfully converted military storage.
Magnificently designed public rooms are on ground floor, leading up to the sleeping areas on the first floor which are lit magnificently by the skylights - this oozes romance encouraging guests to gaze up at the night sky from the comfort of their very own bed. The basement underneath hosts an ever impressive collection of fine Italian wines and Champagne.
The Faro Rosso is also home to a private infinity pool which again overlooks the ocean, Mediterranean shrubs and the coastal curves. Surrounding this is a fine outdoor area featuring loungers and entertaining areas.
Inside the home you will find several lounges and plush dining room. If you travel up, you will find yourself on the light house sitting area and terrace and the little known access to the main light room.

Location

On the southern most tip of Sardinia, lies the beautiful coastal region of Chia. This idyllic stretch of coast is home to many a picturesque beach, stunning nature and of course, is steeped in history.
Chia is a rare beauty, with hillsides overflowing with Juniper, Mastic and Myrtle and a consistently warm temperature which barely ever drops to below 15 degrees centigrade.
Around the beaches of Chia there are plenty of things to do including boat trips, snorkelling, sun bathing and of course, lovely coastal walks, all with fantastic views of the ocean. The nearby beaches of Sa Colonia and Arveskida are also home to a night scene with bars and a small number of clubs, perfect for a night cap before a moonlight stroll on the beach.
Nearby sights include Chia Tower which offers fantastic views of the ocean and is itself an interesting place to visit due to its history as a lookout against pirate raids. There is also a golf course in the area along with several shops.
Further up the Chia coast is the historical town of Nora which is a must visit. Nora is home to the archaeological ruins of an Ancient Roman city, containing beautiful temples, mosaics and even Roman Baths. There is also the famed Nora Lagoon which is as gorgeous as it sounds.
