Casale d’Asso is an ancient 18th-century holiday house, recently restored, on the edge of small Medieval hamlet which has been the property of the Piccolomini family for six hundred years, an ancient family whose name is strongly tied to the Italian Renaissance. Situated in the whereabouts of San Giovanni d’Asso, centrally located between the “Crete Senesi” and the Orcia valley, south of Siena, the accommodation is ideal for all those who want to get away from all the stress of daily life, finding themselves surrounded by a landscape which knows no age or for those who would like to visit the nearby towns of Siena, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Bagno Vignoni, Cortona and Pienza. Outside the house there is a large garden where a trapezium-shaped pool is, representing a stylized bird (78 m2, 1.2 – 2m deep)(01/05-30/09). The swimming pool area is equipped with sunbeds and a pergola with a table and chairs. In front of the holiday house there is a large patio with a barbeque, wood-fired oven and table-tennis table. The accommodation has wi-fi Internet connection, baby bed, air conditioning in the 2 twin bedrooms and the double bedroom, central heating. If requested (paying on location) you can have a maid service, babysitter, cookery courses, mid-weekly linen change, chef, shopping delivery on arrival. Car park on the property.
PLEASE NOTE: arrivals must be between 4.00pm and 7.00pm. Departures must be between 9.00am and 11.00am.

ACCOMMODATION: (1st floor is 235 m2 and the lounge on the ground floor is 90 m2) Gr.Fl.: large lounge with fireplace and access to the external loggia, 1 bathroom with shower. 1st fl.: (reached only through an outdoor stairway) large kitchen (freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, American coffee machine and normal coffee machine, toaster), lounge (satellite TV) with fireplace, 2 twin-bedded bedrooms both with bathroom with shower, 1 double bedroom with bathroom with bath, 1 single bedroom with bathroom with shower.

LOCATION: there is a small convenience store in the hamlet which sells typical products, groceries. Next to the store there is a small winebar. 5 km San Giovanni d’Asso (all kinds of shops, restaurants), 8 km Torrenieri (supermarket), 13 km Pienza, 17 km Montalcino, 22 km Bagno Vignoni (thermal baths).Please note that all extra costs must be paid in Euro on the spot
