This detached house lies in the countryside of Racale (in the province of Lecce) and just 2 km from the seaside town of Mancaversa and therefore close to the nature reserve of Lido Pizzo. The proximity to the famous Gallipoli (15 km) makes it the ideal place for every type of traveler, but above all, this accommodation is ideal for big families who wish to spend their holiday together. The beaches of Marine di Ugento, known as the Caribbean of Salento, are only 15 km from here. The house is located in an estate with olive grove, and partly with Mediterranean vegetation, and a garden close to the house. It comprises a central building with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, living room and kitchen. In the backside of this building there is a small room with a single bed and a bathroom. At about 100 m from the main house there is a stone trullo, a typical building of this area, with a bedroom with two single beds, which can be united in a double bed, and a small bathroom. The shaded roofing in front of the main house has a large outside table where you can enjoy pleasant breakfasts and outdoor dinners. The terrace of the main house has been equipped with a solarium, here you can enjoy the magnificent sea view on the horizon. In addition to excursions to Gallipoli, Lecce (60 km), Otranto (51 km), Torre San Giovanni (16 Km) and Leuca (38 km), you should also visit the farms of the area where you can buy the biologically produced product of this region. You will receive full details about your booking including directions to the property and a booking voucher that you need to hand over to the property manager when you receive the keys. The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:

  • A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.

Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself. You need to climb a ladder to reach this room. Lofts are very popular with children but may not be suitable for adults or elderly guests.
