This stylish detached villa, with stunning pool, sea views and attractive gardens is only 250 metres from the Marina at Perd'e Sali and it's sandy beach.
Villa Vico del Porto is a luxurious retreat with sea views and a stunning 10 x 5 metre swimming pool with marble surround, Roman steps and lights and a great outdoor lounge seating area to enjoy outdoor living shaded from the heat of a mid summer day. The villa has marble floors throughout, quality kitchen and two bathrooms with marble floor and wall tiles. We fell in love with Perde Sali on our first visit. It is in a beautiful area but retains its village character not getting swamped by visitors in the summer season. The marina offers a great place to enjoy a morning coffee with stunning mountain and sea views, just 2 minutes walk away. The coastline nearby has many kilometres of silky sandy beaches. Chia voted by Telegraph readers as the best beach in the Mediterranean is a 20 minute drive. The more modest but still lovely sandy beach in Perde Sali is a 2 minute walk and generally used by local people.
A car is advisable to get the best from the area, but everything you might want is within a short drive. If you crave some nightlife there are many summer concerts in Pula, a nightclub Tsunami just outside the town, Is Molas golf club near Pula, Blu Fan aquapark 2 kms, plus lovely restaurants and shops selling artisan jewellery, and local crafts.

A nice villa, kitchen was very well equiped, pool lovely, one big downside was that there was only airconditioning in the master bedroom, so it was umbearably hot in the other two bedrooms, even with the fans provided. This is the only thing that would prevent us having a repeat visit. Also we could have done with more bath(only 3) & pool towels(3),lots of small ones, not enough for 6 guests. Kerstin the local representive was brilliant as we had problems with the sewerage , due to previous guests flushing toilet paper down the toilet instead of putting it in the bins provided, as requested. She got a plumber out in less than half an hour and the problem was sorted by 9am the next day.No broadband or mobile signal either. Would recomend it, but do ask for more towels on booking.
Dear Rachel, Many thanks for your comments which help us to update and improve our services. We have a new housekeeper who ensures that each guest has a large pool towel plus a bath towel and hand towel. We had an interruption in our broadband signal for about 3 weeks as did many other residents in the area, due to some technical issues. We do apologize for the inconvenience caused. We are installing a new air con unit in bedroom 2 for 2015 season.

10 out of 10. This is a beautiful, well cared for property in an excellent location. The owners are very helpful & pleasant to deal with.

We had a great week, the villa was brilliant especially the pool. and after many games of water volleyball co of the net provided we were well relaxed. Only downsides were the lack of microwave and the slight danger on the stairs with an elderly relative.
Dear Jenny, Many thanks for taking the time to add a review. We are unable to add a screen or rail on the lower stair turn as we would not be able to move furniture up and downstairs. We have responded to customer requests and added a microwave to the kitchen. We continue to improve our services and all guests now receive a welcome pack on arrival. Best wishes, Colette

The villa was stunning, the situation was perfect (2 minutes walk from a wonderful taverna serving great pizza and with incredibly friendly owners who will chat to you in French, if your Italian isnt up to scratch also very close to Pula for a great evening out watching the world go by in the piazza), and wonderful owners who really make you feel like part of the family for the day when they take you out on Hejira (their beautiful yacht). Simply a wonderful base for a perfect holiday. The photos dont do the villa justice. A wonderful place to have an evening in by the barbie after a dip in the pool(that you really can have a decent swim in). Well definitely be returning. Thanks Colette and Martin.

“Fabulous Italian villa in great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013 for a stay in July 2012
This is a well-equipped villa in a very scenic location close to the the bustling little town of Pula. Its in easy driving distance of local beaches (Chia is particularly beautiful), some interesting historical sites and delightful old Sardinian villages. The villa is comfortable and has an individual style and charm which made us feel much more at home. We found it had pretty much everything we needed including clean bedding and towels and a well-equipped kitchen. The outdoor areas are very comfortable - some evenings it was hard to decide whether to stay in the pool or relax on a lounger with a glass of local vino. Highly recommended.

Really nice villa with pool. Cant fault it really. Great location with a couple of pizzerias/bars in walking distance and Pula a short drive offering a wide variety of restaurants plus lots going on in the evenings. had a great meal in the Villa recommended by the owner. This was really good - just dont eat the day before its was an absolute feast cooked by a very nice lady and fantastic value for money. Would absolutely recommend it. Because of the location this can be as relaxed or active as you want the holiday to be.with a variety of beaches nearby.

About the owner
Martin was the Managing Director of a music company and I worked at a university before taking early retirement and sailing to the Mediterranean in our 11.5 metre yacht Hejira. We arrived in Sardinia in 2006 and stayed for 5 years before being drawn back to UK by grandchildren. We now run Artisan in Chagford, where we design and make bespoke leather products and sell locally produced pottery, jewellery, wooden bowls and plates, paintings, and forged ironwork.English is obviously our first language but we can communicate well in Italian and also some French.
