Beautifully restored farmhouse. All modern conveniences combined with original traditional features such as working open fireplace, cotto tiles and oak beams.
Enjoy a wonderful holiday in the beautiful, picturesque hills of Tuscany. Located in the hills above the town of Pieve Santo Stefano, our house affords the visitor uninterrupted, panoramic views of the valley. Tranquillity and peace are assured without isloation.Recently restored the house has original features such as oak beams, cotto ceiling tiles, and working open fireplace. Old meets new with central heating, luxury bathroom and new fittings throughout.Barbeque in the garden or sunbathe at leisure. Culturally, the region is overflowing with wonderful sites. For example, La Verna Sanctuary, Siena, Caprese Michelangelo, and Cortona to name just a few.For beach lovers Rimini is a great day out. A15 km long sandy beach has made this a very popular resort for Italians and foreigners alike. If you want a more active holiday that is on your doorstep too with cycling, horse riding and swimming for example. Although we do not have a swimming pool, at the house there is a large outdoor pool in Sansepolcro just 15 minutes away by car where one can enjoy a swim ,picnic, and then browse around the beautiful ,historic town itself.
The hamlet is reasonably remote so a car is essential. Nearby there are numerous restaurants and bars, one restaurant is even within walking distance of the house ,although the walk back up the hill would not be for the feint hearted!!
So, come to Villa Ceccherini and enjoy the dolce vita.
Lovely renovations to very old home. We enjoyed the fresh vegetables brought over by the farming neighbors from their garden. Could not get the gas oven to work. Other than that, enjoyed the accomodations.

This is a really lovely villa beautifully restored and very tastefully furnished. The photos dont do it justice and it was better than we expected. The local agent was helpful and efficient and the kitchen is well equipped (no microwave or electric kettle though - if those are important to you). The main staircase and other steps within the property are fairly steep so unsuited to the very young and very old, and you do have to mind your head on the doorways! There is a small garden and paved area with lovely views of the valley and loungers, chairs and table to use. You can just see and hear the main road at the bottom of the valley but we didnt find it particularly intrusive. Overall a great house in a delightful location.

Fantastically renovated villa in an isolated rural hamlet. Interior well renovated and equipped. House attached to working farm cottage next door, but very private. Wonderful views of surrounding hills from upstairs, but limited views from dining room. This is real rural Tuscany. No pool, but the nearest town of Pieve Santo Stefano (10 min drive) has full sized and welcoming public swimming pool (remember your swimming caps), as well as good restaurants frequented largely by locals. Easy access to Assisi, Arezzo, Cortona and Lago di Trasimeno. East coast and Florence a little further, but still possible in a longer day. A relaxing get away from it all kind of place.
