Villa overview - owner's description
Comfortable and spacious holiday home in the picturesque village of Perinaldo, in the heart of the Riviera dei Fiori, just a few kilometers from the beautiful Dolceacqua and Apricale, with a lovely terrace and a wonderful open view over the valley, ideal for cool cocktails at sunset or outdoor dining. The house, like all classic houses of the Italian Riviera, extends over several levels, which can be reached by stairs. On the ground floor there is a nice kitchen, a large dining table and an intimate lounge with a double sofa bed. The kitchen leads onto a balcony, ideal for breakfast, even if the weather is not the best. On the first floor guests will find two lovely double bedrooms with private balconies and views of the valley and a bathroom with tub. On the second floor guests will find a second living room with kitchenette and a beautiful table, a balcony, two other double rooms with private balcony and two bathrooms with shower. On the top floor is a terrace with gazebo, table and chairs. The property is ideal for families and groups. Here you can enjoy the privacy and tranquility of the hills, but at the same time you are only 10 minutes by car from Ventimiglia or Bordighera - so you can easily enjoy the sea and the life of the Riviera. The medieval centers of Dolceacqua (Km 10) and Apricale (6 km), well-known for the wine tourism and cradle of the good "Rossese" wine are also not far away, as are the thermal baths of Pigna. The valley offers numerous hiking trails, which can be explored on foot or by mountain bike. We are also a short distance from all the cities of the Côte d'Azur and the French border: San Lorenzo al Mare (54 km) from where Europe's longest cycle track starts, Sanremo (Km 22), Bordighera (16 km), the Principality of Seborga (Km 18), the beautiful beach of the Balzi Rossi (km 25) with unspoilt nature and crystal clear waters, the botanical gardens of Villa Hanbury in Grimaldi (Km 25) and the main cities of the French Riviera such as Menton (26 km), Monte Carlo (42 km), Nice (58 km) and Cannes (92 km).

Frequently asked questions
When do I receive directions to the villa and key collection information?
Directions and details on how to collect the keys will be emailed to you after you have paid for the booking in full. You will receive full details about your booking including directions to the property and a booking voucher that you need to hand over to the property manager when you receive the keys. In some instances you may need to collect the keys from the property manager’s office or some other location which is not the actual property you have booked to stay in. Please note that the agent provides us with the GPS co-ordinates in the travel directions and we communicate these to you; you should contact the property manager if these are unclear.
Bed sizes / bedrooms
The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:
- A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
- A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
- A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.
A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.
Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself. You need to climb a ladder to reach this room. Lofts are very popular with children but may not be suitable for adults or elderly guests.
If a property has an annexe then it will typically be a building attached to the main property or a small self-contained building. Annexes often have no central heating.
Please note that bedrooms in holiday rentals are usually not that large; you should refer to the floor plan to get a sense of size.
Quality rating: three stars. The agent rates this as a well-kept, middle of the range holiday property.
What are the extra consumption costs for electricity, gas, water etc.?
You will need to pay a fixed cost of €10.00 per night for electricity, water, gas and other utilities. You will need to pay the local agent when you arrive. The price is fixed and is not refundable.
