Holiday apartment in a typical alpine cottage in Peio, in the heart of the Stelvio National Park, with view over the valley and the alpine village, at 2 Km from the ski resort's tracks. Ideal location for families with children seeking for a quiet stay surrounded by nature, for sporty people, with lots of activities both in winter and in summer, and for wellness enthusiasts, Peio being a first-class thermal resort. The Stelvio National Park is rich in breathtaking landscapes, luxuriant nature and it's home to a variety of wildlife; Val di Peio is part of this incredible natural oasis and offers a fascinating environment for a relaxing holiday. You may admire the valley walking along many itineraries into forests, some of which start only few meters away from the house. In a few minutes' drive you may reach Peio fonti, starting point of the modern cable car taking skiers up. Peio is situated on the foothill of the Ortles-Cevedale range; it's the oldest tourist resort of the Val di Sole and Trentino's highest municipality. The ski resort offers all sorts of tracks, ranging from blue to black ones, snow parks, educational camps, mountain huts where you may taste traditional local dishes. Various sports activities can be practiced in summer, too. The cable cars are used by mountain bike and downhill enthusiasts to go up and then enjoy the many naturalistic routes and trails that unfold in the mountains. The area of Dimaro Folgarida (30 Km) offers a variety of water or climbing disciplines, such as rafting, riverboarding, canyoning, climbing, paintball, tarzaning, paragliding. At only 50 Km you may find a golf course in Campo Carlo Magno, with view over the Dolomites. Tourism in Peio derives from the therapeutic properties of the mineral waters of three different springs, known since 1650. The modern wellness center proposes many medical and beauty treatments to help you unwind and regenerate during your stay. Distances: Madonna di Campiglio 45 Km, renowned tourist and ski resort, Trento 80 Km. June to September it is possible to purchase a special card "Trentino Guest Card - Val di Sole Opportunity", regarding the use of ski lifts, public transport, entrance to thermal baths or museums, purchase of local product. When do I receive directions to the apartment and key collection information?
Directions and details on how to collect the keys will be emailed to you after you have paid for the booking in full. You will receive full details about your booking including directions to the property and a booking voucher that you need to hand over to the property manager when you receive the keys. In some instances you may need to collect the keys from the property manager’s office or some other location which is not the actual property you have booked to stay in. Please note that the agent provides us with the GPS co-ordinates in the travel directions and we communicate these to you; you should contact the property manager if these are unclear.
Bed sizes / bedrooms
The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:
- A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
- A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
- A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.
A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.
Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself. You need to climb a ladder to reach this room. Lofts are very popular with children but may not be suitable for adults or elderly guests.
If a property has an annexe then it will typically be a building attached to the main property or a small self-contained building. Annexes often have no central heating.

What are the consumption costs for electricity, gas, water etc.?
You will need to pay for the energy and water you use during your stay of which electricity is usually the most significant cost. Charges can be based on a fixed per day rate or by the amount of energy used (e.g. kilowatt hours for electricity). We can’t give you a definite figure but as a rough guide you should expect to pay €10 per day for a two bedroom apartment and €20 per day for a 4 bedroom house in the summer months.
