The origins of the abbey date back to the year 1000 and is located along the ancient Via Francigena, the ancient road that medieval pilgrims travelled along to go to Rome from all over Europe and which, known only by scholars until the late 1990s, has now become an itinerary that attracts tourists who love history and art. The surrounding countryside is the classic Sienese landscape with its numerous shades of colors known as the "land of Siena ''. From the house you can also enjoy picturesque views of the castle walls of Monteriggioni, inside of which you can breathe in the air of the Middle Ages. The possibilities are endless: in addition to Siena, can quickly reach San Gimignano, Volterra and Florence. For those who love nature, there are many trails in the woods of the mountain that you see in front of the property.
