Only 6 km from Montepulciano is this large holiday house with pool and two outbuildings, set in the typical vineyards of southern Tuscany. On the ground floor of the main house are a large central living-dining room with fireplace, three bedrooms, a kitchen and two bathrooms. An open staircase leads to the first floor, which can also be reached via an external staircase with small loggia. Here are a cosy living room with fireplace and sofas, and four bedrooms (with three bathrooms). The two outbuildings lie directly opposite the main house, with one or two bedrooms, each with bathroom, and two other eat-in kitchens. The decor is tasteful and in rustic Tuscan style. Baby bed on request. From the completely fenced pool area you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Chiana-Valley. On the property there is also a covered seating area with barbecue, ideal for outdoor dining. The holiday home is part of a traditional winery of Montepulciano and is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Guests can taste and purchase the famous "Nobile di Montepulciano" directly at the winery, which is about 1.5 km from the house. This holiday home is an ideal solution for large families or groups who wish to spend their holidays together in a beautiful place. Here you can relax, but also paint together, make music, make yoga etc. - The location of the house is also perfect for guests who wish to make excursions on foot or by bike. From here you can reach many of the most beautiful destinations in southern Tuscany - first of all Montepulciano itself, with its picturesque old town, the cathedral, its many churches and libraries, galleries, trattorias; The charming Renaissance town of Pienza (15 km) with breath-taking views over the Orcia valley up to Monte Amiata; The Etruscan town Cortona (30 km) on the other side of the Chiana- Valley, or Lake Trasimeno (30 km). Siena, Perugia and Arezzo are all about 60 km from here and within an hour drive. Torrita di Siena with all kinds of shops, restaurants, bars is about 2.5 km from the house.

The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:

  • A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.

Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself. You need to climb a ladder to reach this room. Lofts are very popular with children but may not be suitable for adults or elderly guests.

If a property has an annexe then it will typically be a building attached to the main property or a small self-contained building. Annexes often have no central heating.
