Podere Moricci is a holiday complex located near San Gimignano and along the Via Francigena. The property consists of several residential units, each with private and equipped outdoor area and allocated covered parking. The hilly location, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and forests, makes it the ideal place for a relaxing holiday with the possibility of day trips to Siena and Florence (about 50 km), Volterra (about 30 km) or to the sea of the Etruscan coast. For golf lovers there is an internationally known golf course at Castelfalfi (15 km). The complex offers the following additional services; Cooking lessons, typical Tuscan dinner, cooking service, babysitting service, horse riding lessons and guided tours, guided bike tours, bike rental and bike tour with guide (the participants must be at least 15 years old), hiking maps for trekking routes, guided tours to Florence, Siena and Pisa (with meetings in the selected cities), possibility of taxi service or minibus rental, wine tasting with guide in local wine cellars and in San Gimignano. Do not miss the opportunity to travel along a stretch of the Via Francigena, which for centuries has been the main path of the great roads of faith, traveled by pilgrims headed to Rome, to the Holy Land or to Santiago de Compostela. In this context you can visit San Vivaldo, a sanctuary surrounded by nature, a place of pilgrimage for those who couldn’t reach the Holy Land. Here faith and art are celebrated in a laboratory of sacred art in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts, which sees the students exhibit their works addressed to the dimension of the sacred, in harmony with the naturalistic context of the forest where the Sacred Mountain of San Vivaldo is located. Each apartment is equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite connection. Free weekly change of linen and towels. At the reception: communal washing machine against payment. A baker passes by with fresh bread every morning including Sundays. You can order a dinner for the arrival day (to be ordered at least two days before arrival; you will find your dinner in the apartment, it has to be heated). Arrival is possible between 5 pm - 7 pm only. In the complex are the apartments ITN174 - ITN183. Don’t miss to visit San Vivaldo and the „Sacro Monte“, an unforgettable historic and artistic monument which dates back to the 16. century when Franciscan monks living in a nearby monastery built 18 chapels and small churches which symbolize the different moments of Jesus Christ’ life and passion. In this way they let the pilgrims virtually visit Jerusalem without being obliged to reach the Holy Land.

  • A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.

Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself.
