Overview

With just eight apartments, the residence is small and exclusive and designed for families and couples alike. It is located in the port of Moniga del Garda, overlooking the beach and lake and it's just a 10 minute stroll into the town. Within just a few minutes, you can be enjoying a daytime ice cream or a nighttime prosecco - there's a great selection of restaurants and cafes both lakeside and in the town itself.

Each apartment sleeps 4 in two bedrooms - a master double suite and a twin room. It is also possible to add a 5th bed for children up to 3 years old. There is one designer bathroom, complete with shower and hair dryer.

The modern living space is open plan with large glass doors welcoming in the sunlight and breeze. Step through and take full advantage of the terrace - watch the sunset and enjoy a glass of chilled "vino bianco" - Lugana is our local wine of choice! It really is excellent!

The living room is comfortable and the kitchen comes complete with all you need for Italian cooking, including American-style fridge, ice dispenser and the all-important dishwasher.

Meals can be enjoyed inside the apartment and on the terrace, there's another table, great for some al-fresco dining!

There's plenty of space for the family to relax together with a comfortable sofa and there's a large flat-screen TV with DVD, perfect for movie night! There is also free WIFI in the apartment.

The apartment has air conditioning and is in both the living area and bedrooms.

Outside the apartments, the gardens are home to the beautiful swimming pool, perfect for the whole family. Each apartment has sun loungers but they're also dotted around the pool too, making it a perfect place to spend your days. There's also a jacuzzi, shallow area for the little ones and a play area and although we like to think it never rains in Lake Garda (!), if it does, there's a great indoor lounge room complete with large TV, Playstation, Wii and other games.

If you fancy mixing it up a little, why not spend the day on the beach? Although not sand (it's stone), the lake is wonderfully clear and perfect for swimming!

Other facilities in the residence include a laundry, bbq, iron board and safe.

Do I need a Car?

We usually recommend having a car when visiting Lake Garda - it opens endless possibilities to explore this wonderful area. However, a car is not essential here. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes, all within walking distance and there is a good supermarket just 1km away. If you do have a vehicle, then there is an indoor garage.

Location

Azalia is located on the south coast of Lake Garda, right in the middle of two larger towns - Salò to the west (10km) and Desenzano to the east (8km). It's a perfect base for exploring Lake Garda with plenty of day trip options including Verona, Milan and Venice.

Ferries regularly leave the nearby ports so you can head out on the waters to explore more towns around Lake Garda.

Just 20 minutes drive from the main A4 Milan-Venice motorway, Azalia is about a 1 hour drive from both Milan Bergamo Airport and Verona Airport.

Torre degli Ulivi is simply sublime. A treasure of a property hidden away along the shores of Lake Garda. The accommodation offers an exclusive one bedroomed villa of the very highest standard nestled within extensive gardens laden with olive, lemon and orange trees reaching down to a beautiful little beach. Perfect for people seeking total tranquility and solitude. The villa serves as an excellent base from which to explore the region or one can stay within the gardens - as we did - basking in the glorious Italian sun. The villa is separate from the main house which offers 5 rooms on a bed and breakfast basis. We chose the villa as we required a s/c option for our 10 month old daughter plus we preferred the privacy and anonymity that the villa could offer. No review of this property could be complete without mentioning the manageress Mariella who is a flawless host; welcoming, efficent, professional, utterly discreet and on call 24/7 to see to your every need. The property offers an exceptionally special holiday and is one we shall certainly return to time and time again.

We were desperate for our summer holiday this year after just having had our home flooded! Casetta degli Ulivi, Tignale met all our expectations and as a result we had a fantastic family holiday. The villa was exceptionally well maintained and located in a fantastic location - very quiet with beach through a private gate. Mariella, the owner despite not speaking a word of English really went out of her way to make us welcome starting with a complimentary breakfast the morning after we arrived (besides owning the villa Mariella runs a superb bed and breakfast!). Can't praise our holiday enough and would certainly recommend it to anyone seeking a quiet retreat. We will certainly be returning in the future.

We had a lovely holiday in this villa. The grounds where it was situated were superb with direct access to the beach and wonderful views across the lake. The welcome from Mariella was lovely, as was the breakfast she invited us to on our first morning. The description of the property was pretty much correct. However we think the property would be too small for 6 people as there is only one bedroom (as described). We were surprised that although the kitchen was described as fully fitted we felt there were some items missing such as a kettle, coffee machine, small plates or bowls, teaspoons which we would have expected to be provided. It would also be extremely useful to have had some written information regarding things such as what to do with rubbish, areas of local interest, whereabouts of shops etc. Also, there is absolutely nowhere to go if you don't want to drive!!

The whole process for this letting was superb - start to finsih. Self-catering appartment was clean, well presented, very new and well equipped (especially the Kitchen). The appartment had great views of the lake and a short stroll to the ferry (though limited schedules in the off-season). The appartment and the facilities were great for a family - overall a wonderful holiday. Absolutely fantastic, polite, helpful and nice service from the staff, especially the receptionist (Jana) - kids loved her !. Would recommend this appartment to friends and family. Thanks

We could not fault anything in this apartment. The furniture, decor, and appliances are to a high and modern standard, the beds were all extremely comfortable and the bed-linen and towels were clean and fresh. There are two washing machines, a tumble-drier and an ironing board with iron to use for all guests, free of charge, in the laundry room, which is located in the basement. My two children loved the playroom, which again is fitted out to a very high standard and has all the modern equipment children love. The pool was gorgeous with two jacuzzi areas on either side and a 'waterfall' in the centre of the pool, which my children loved! There are plenty of comfortable sunbeds both around the pool and outside each apartment on their terrace/balcony. For toddlers there is a selection of play apparatus located at the front of the apartments, and if you fancy a BBQ there are two to use either side of the apartments. It was lovely waking every morning and being able to sit outside and enjoy breakfast with the wonderful view of Lake Garda. The apartments are conveniently positioned so that within two minutes you are right on the edge of the Lake. The lady on the front reception desk was also very helpful and friendly. We loved our holiday so much we have already booked to stay there again next year!

This apartment is in the town but in a quiet area near the beach. It has a shared pool, a balcony, a barbecue and a shared garden. Car hire is not necessary as the apartment is less than a 15 minute walk to a large selection of shops, bars, restaurants; however parking is available if required.
