Apartment overview - owner's description

Four apartments set in a former farmhouse on the Rocca that dominates the town Garda ("Warda", an old military fort built on the Rocca in the age of the barbarian invasions). Garda is a famous place on the lake with tourist harbour, bathing and sport facilities, which is also accessible on foot. The property is located in the green Parco della Rocca, a protected natural oasis (barbecue is not allowed here) that includes, besides the ruins of a medieval fortress, the Camaldolesi hermitage accessible via a nice walk. Good and quiet location with stunning views of the lake directly from each apartment. The accommodation has a panoramic terrace with chairs, table and parasol. At guests' disposal: shared swimming pool with private sun loungers, chairs and parasol. Private parking. Free, unlimited Wi-Fi internet. Baby bed on request (for free if available). The area is ideal for those who like cycling, swimming, diving, sailing and hiking. The beaches, some of which are equipped, are ideal for bathing in complete relaxation. From the village boats lead to the west shore of the lake. Garda 0.5 km (all kinds of shops, beaches, bike path, sailing school); Golf and horse riding 3 km; amusement parks at 15 km; Thermal baths 10 km, Peschiera 18 km. For art and show lovers only 35 km away is Verona with its famous Arena and the Roman Theatre; Venice 140 km, Milan 170 km, both easily reached by train from the stations of Peschiera and Verona.   • A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.

Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself. You need to climb a ladder to reach this room. Lofts are very popular with children but may not be suitable for adults or elderly guests.
