Pleasant holiday apartment with stunning views of the Veltliner Mountains. It is located in Chiesa in Valmalenco, a place famous for its ski slopes, which are used in summer as excellent hiking and mountain biking trails. The Valtellina area is also known for its wine and gastronomic offer, as it produces fine DOCG wines (Sforzato, Sassella, Grumello and 'Inferno), a typical IGP ham called Bresaola, and several cheeses. These products can be bought in the small local shops or tasted in the many excellent restaurants. The apartment has a closed, private garden which is equipped for all fresco dining. At a distance of 700 meters you will find the cable car that will take you to the 60 km long slopes of the Alpe Palù ski area (altitude 2080 m). Around Chiesa in Valmalenco there are many delightful mountain villages to visit, with breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys. Sondrio, the capital of this province, is only 15 km away. Its old town, with the 19th century Piazza Garibaldi, is full of alleys and beautiful shops that are great for shopping. From Sondro you can also catch a train to Colico and then spend a nice day on Lake Como or drive to Tirano and reach St. Moritz on the famous Bernina Express (red train of the Bernina). Your pets are welcome at this property. You can park your car at the public car park, which is 250 meters away.

The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:

  • A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.

Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself.
