Villa overview - owner's description

Large holiday house with swimming pool and at 15 km from the sea. The accommodation is set along the via Francigena, with wonderful sea view, less than 50 Km from Cinque Terre. Completely renovated, dates back to the 1700 and it’s deep in the green countryside. The entrance leads to the large living room with kitchen corner; laundry room and toilet on the same level. Night area unfolds on the upper floor, comprising three bedrooms with private bathroom. A steep spiral staircase leads to the attic with bedroom and bathroom. Many activities and attractions available in the area: full day boat tours, tour of the surrounding castles (the house is located in the “Valley of one hundred castles”), horse riding at 10 km distance near Fosdinovo (dicounted prices for Novasol customers), cycling. To be visited: the canyons of Giaredo, corroded by the waters of the stream Gordona, which will astonish you with the contrasting colouring of the cliffs and the crystal-clear water, and the splendid scenarios of the hamlets of Cinque Terre, reachable by car or boat from La Spezia, UNESCO heritage. And for all guests who want to be enchanted by the wonders of the Ligurian Sea, there is the possibility to organize on request and for a fee (with a special price list) unforgettable excursions: half-day rubber dinghy or sailboat tour or all-day yacht, rubber dinghy or sailboat tour and finally.... sunset with aperitif to enjoy an aperitif at sunset on board a sailboat.

The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:

  • A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.

Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself. You need to climb a ladder to reach this room. Lofts are very popular with children but may not be suitable for adults or elderly guests.
