Apartment overview - owner's description

This splendid attic apartment is located on a hill, near two of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Cison di Valmarino and Follina, and surrounded by the stunning vineyards that produce the famous Prosecco di Valdobbiadene. The apartment is beautifully furnished, maintaining original features such as the stones of the load-bearing walls or the wooden beams, mixed with modern furnishing details and accessories. The result is a refined and suggestive environment, where you can relax after a nice bike ride on the Prosecco hills or after a dive in the nearby lake of Revine. In summertime it is also particularly inviting in the garden, where you can spend the evenings, enjoying a good glass of wine or some alfresco dining. The apartment is on the second floor of a historic house, where there is a B&B. Entrance and stairs are to be shared. On the ground floor you can use a shared laundry room too. The master bedroom has a mezzanine with a sofa bed, accessible via a slightly steep staircase.We are in the centre of the wonderful Venetian hills, famous for the production of Prosecco and for the suggestive landscapes, which especially in autumn, when the vineyards are colored red, yellow, orange, offer unforgettable sceneries. The area is also famous for its history and art and for its proximity to a number of towns and wonderful medieval villages: Cison di Valmarino, Follina, Vittorio Veneto (with the splendid Serravalle), Asolo, Conegliano, Feltre, Bassano del Grappa, Mel, and Marostica ... all destinations also reachable by cycling lovers, because these hills are dotted with a dense network of routes to be done by bicycle or on foot. From here you can quickly reach by car or by train the main cities of Veneto: Venice (75 km), Treviso (40 km), Padua (74 km), Vicenza (73 km). For sportsmen, the area, rich in rivers, lakes (Lake of Santa Croce 40 km), hills and mountains (in 40 km you are in the Dolomites) as well as being a destination for cyclists, it also offers the opportunity to practice any kind of activities such as trekking, Nordic walking, mountain biking, hang gliding, paragliding, horse riding, golf, canoeing, windsurfing and kitesurfing. In addition, the strategic location of this apartment allows you to alternate a day in the mountains with one at the sea in one of the beautiful beaches of the Adriatic coast (70 km from Jesolo). This territory is also rich in eno-gastronomic proposals where you can sample many dishes and drinks.The landscape is rich in vineyards and wineries where you can stop to taste and to buy the excellent prosecco wine produced in this land; but nearby you can also find breweries (one at 20 m from the house), an excellent salami factory (where you can buy typical products of the area) and a wide range of trattorias, typical restaurants and local festivals that the owner will be glad to suggest you according to your tastes.

You will receive full details about your booking including directions to the property and a booking voucher that you need to hand over to the property manager when you receive the keys. Please note that the agent provides us with the GPS co-ordinates in the travel directions and we communicate these to you; you should contact the property manager if these are unclear.

The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:

  • A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.

Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself. You need to climb a ladder to reach this room. Lofts are very popular with children but may not be suitable for adults or elderly guests.

If a property has an annexe then it will typically be a building attached to the main property or a small self-contained building. Annexes often have no central heating.
