Lovely holiday apartment in Ballabio, just 10 km from the beautiful Lake Como, with its picturesque views, magnificent historic villas and beaches offering sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and canoeing. The apartment is located 7 km from Lecco, a town offering all kinds of shops and boat and hydrofoil jetty that allow you to reach the most famous towns of Lake Como such as Bellagio, Varenna, Cernobbio, Como and the train station that will comfortably lead you to Milan, Monza and Bergamo. Ballabio is situated right at the entrance to Valsassina, a locality known for its scenic mountains offering climbing walls (Falesia le torrette and Falesia la vaccarese) and hiking and mountain biking trails of various difficulties in nearby locations such as Pian delle Betulle, Piani dei Resinelli (mining park with guided tours and climbing rocks) and the Grigne. Valsassina is also ideal for walks to relax while admiring the landscape or visiting the various farms and tasting their products such as salami, honey, cheese, jams and juices. The apartment belongs to a restored 19th century preserving original features, very beautiful are the stone walls and the large exposed beams of the ceiling. The décor is mountain style with a touch of originality by the very creative house owners. There is a portico equipped with table and chairs for outdoor dining. The car park is about 30 m from the house.

  • A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.

Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself. You need to climb a ladder to reach this room. Lofts are very popular with children but may not be suitable for adults or elderly guests.

If a property has an annexe then it will typically be a building attached to the main property or a small self-contained building. Annexes often have no central heating.
