Apartment very well equipped with fablous views to the sea. Spacious balcony with seating and table and chairs. Bedrooms were good though shower in double bedroom the hot water did not work well but used other bathroom, useful to have 2 bathrooms. Plenty of restaurants and a lovely beach within 2 minutes walk, also a good supermarket. Good satellite TV wifi worked well. Angela the owner was a very nice person, though communication was a bit difficult as only spoke Italian but with Google translation we managed, and Giovanna was easily contactable by email and responded immediately if needed.Read more
A wonderful holiday. The property was very clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The gardens, pool area, tennis court and BBQ area were particularly nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pizza evening hosted by the owners was very enjoyable. Good location for exploring the surrounding area. There was some noise from the neighbouring apartment's TV at times which disturbed the children but on the whole a very enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this property.Read more
Great apartment with fantastic views and amazing lemon grove. Very easy walk down to Atrani and Amalfi, but get the bus back (especially in hot weather). Location could have been better, but it did offer escape from the crowds. The apartment didn’t have air conditioning, though it did have a good fan. Cooking and clothes washing facilities were great. The terrace was a little small but does the trick for a couple. Velia was extremely helpful, especially on arrival explaining local walks and transport, and generous with the vegetables she grows there. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it!Read more
Booked an 11 night stay and, after a phone call to the property company from Ravello, we were warmly met on the roadside by Velia who showed us where to park and helped us take our luggage to the apartment down the steps from the roadside. The property felt very secure with a locked gate from the stair passageway into the garden area. Velia was very thorough in her introduction to the property and the photos match the appearance of the apartment. Although Velia lives on the property herself (at the top - this apartment is in the middle and a small, 2 bed apartment below) she was always available for help if needed but equally gave us enough space to feel relaxed and private. We really appreciated the fruit and vegetables she provided from her own produce on the property - thank you, Velia! One thing we particularly enjoyed was the ability to sit out in shade throughout the day - at the side of the property overlooking lemon trees in the morning, and at the front overlooking the sea in the afternoon. The kitchen was well-equipped for our needs (though a kettle would be a nice addition for tea-lovers like me!) and beds were comfortable. No change of bedlinen was offered during our stay, but with access to a washing machine and ironing board we were able to wash them ourselves. Having two bathrooms was a real plus. Mosquito-repellent candles and coils were provided (it's Italy - they were going to be there!) and appreciated (my daughter and I are very juicy to mosquitos and were bitten anyway!). It was soooo hot at night, and humid towards the end of our stay - wish we had paid for the air conditioning, though it's rather expensive at €8 per day. Earlier in our stay, the open balcony shutters let in a lovely sea breeze at night and we didn't feel we needed it. The view from the apartment is gorgeous and there's always something to see on the water, whether that's cruise ships, helicopters collecting water to put out fires or filming speedboats, and fireworks in the next village. It's a lovely (but long!) walk down into Atrani (over 500 steps) which has a few small restaurants, shops and a beach) but that was pleasant to do a couple of times. We also walked on into Amalfi which felt like quite an adventure through the little steep lanes between houses. We took the bus back to the property from Amalfi on one occasion - shout to the driver when you want him to stop! We ended up in Ravello!! Ultimately, would we stay here again? Yes! And would we recommend to others? Yes, provided they are in good enough health to manage the stairs.Read more
It was good to return to Al Fogher, having stayed in February last year. The apartment is warm and cosy and had everything we needed (a few more wine glasses wouldn’t go amiss). The TV wasn’t working but Franco was able to quickly summon an engineer who fixed it straight away. Franco is charming and so welcoming. The apartment is very well situated - 10 minute walk from P Roma and 5 minutes to the nearest vaparetto. Wonderful view of the Frari. We will return next February we hope.Read more
The appearance of the apartment corresponds to the pictures. Great location, to the gondola connecting with the slopes of Madonna and Pinzolo 2 minutes walk (left after going out on the street), then 2 lifami.Wyciagu not on XXX XXX! To the store and center nearby. We did not use the car throughout the stay. Good equipment (no kettle), decor is a matter of taste. If someone decides to pay extra for bed linen, let me prepare that you will not get a duvet cover, but a sheet to be covered.Read more
