This semi-detached house with private pool is set in the countryside of the village of Allerona in Umbria, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, strategically located on the border between Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. The accommodation, set on a hill overlooking the countryside, is surrounded by a private outdoor seating area equipped with table, chairs and barbecue, ideal for outdoor dining, and has a large veranda near the fenced pool, where you can spend relaxing moments. In Allerona you can visit the Castle of Allerona with the remains of the ancient feudal walls, the Church of Santa Maria della Stella, the Church Madonna dell'Acqua, the charming Villa Cahen, and Villalba, a beautiful public park. The location is ideal for discovering the villages in the area: Lake Bolsena is at only 34 km distance. This lake is considered one of the cleanest lakes in Europe, here you can swim and practice many sports such as kitesurfing, windsurfing or hiking in the nature. Orvieto with its imposing dome and small shops with typical local products is only 15 km from here. The characteristic Città della Pieve with its fascinating medieval centre is at 39 km distance. If you wish to spend a relaxing day, the thermal baths of San Casciano dei Bagni are only 19 km from the house. At 63 km you will find Montepulciano with its Piazza Grande and the Temple of San Biagio. On request the owner organizes daily excursions to the Monte Peglia park with lunch and barbecue in the woods, horseback riding or horseback riding lessons. Possibility of cook and baby sitter on request. The house is on two floors connected both by an internal staircase, which is also equipped with a stairlift, and by an external staircase.

You will receive full details about your booking including directions to the property and a booking voucher that you need to hand over to the property manager when you receive the keys. The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:

  • A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.

Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself. You need to climb a ladder to reach this room. Lofts are very popular with children but may not be suitable for adults or elderly guests.

If a property has an annexe then it will typically be a building attached to the main property or a small self-contained building. Annexes often have no central heating.
