The 2 Bedroom luxury penthouse suite. Fabulous fittings and decor. Amazing views over the beautiful river and sea in the haven of Youghal, County Cork

Harveys Dock is sited right in the centre of Youghal, between the two fishermens quays. This development of 34 quality apartments, has private parking and onsite management. There are no lifts in the development. The Shops, Restauarants, Pubs and facilities of the historic town of Youghal are just yards away.
Youghal is a most historic and interesting town situated at the mouth of the Blackwater River, one of Irelands best known salmon fishing rivers.
Youghal renowned for its Blue Flag beaches, and is a favourite seaside destination. There is no shortage of outdoor and indoor activities for all age groups. Fishing trips and leisure boats are readily available for hire. There are many attractive picnic areas and scenic drives in and around Youghal including Fota Wildlife Park, House and Arboretum, Blarney CastleJameson heritage cenrtre, Lismore, Ballycotton and of course Cork City.
You can enjoy beautiful beaches, sailing, canoeing and boating, wind-surfing, a magnificent 18-hole golf course and pitch and putt, 4 hard-court tennis courts, greyhound racing, guided Heritage walking tours, excellent restaurants, and nightly entertainment of Irish music, cinema, or sing and dance in hospitable pubs.
Youghal is a very historic town, much of the 800 year walls still stand. As does the impressive clock gate - a four story tower that straddles the main route into the town. Sir Walter Raleigh was once a resident, and its said he introduced the potato to Ireland here. One of the daily walking tours is a must, and they leave from the Tourist office that is less than 100 yards from the Penthouse.
The food and hospitality
Youghal is famed for its seafood, caught and landed locally in the small town quay.
Locally caught and smoked wild salmon is always available. But many other specialities come and go with the seasons. Take care to ask about the specials that day.
There are an array of restaurants catering for all tastes from the traditional to the exotic. The finest restaurant in town (and Ireland) is Ahernes the famous seafood restaurant - no visit to Youghal would be complete without dining in Ahernes at least once.
Great place to stay with fantastic views over the harbour. Clean, comfortable and home from home. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Wonderful hospitality from Katie, the owner. Fabulous food from Aherne's fish restaurant into the town. In all, a fantastic stay - we left with heavy hearts...but will be back! Thank you!
Thank you for you wonderful review. It was a pleasure having you back to stay in the Penthouse. Thank you also for leaving the Apartment so clean and tidy . Katie

The property is very nice and very clean. The view is good with one side looking out over the quay to the lighthouse and sea, the other looks up the River Blackwater. The apartment is lovely and has all the facilities you need for your holiday. Youghal itself has plenty of amenities and the property is just a couple of minutes walk from the main street. Yes the stairs are a bit of an issue, especially when you need to carry up your luggage and shopping. I have stayed in Harveys Waterfront a few times and would return again but would book a lower floor apartment. If you are OK going up 48 stairs then this is a superb apartment and an be recommended.

This property is in a wonderful location, the views are fantastic. We stayed for two weeks and never tired of watcing the harbour and its environs. The appartment was very clean, comfortable and spacious and did not disappoint in any respect. We soon got used to walking up all the stairs and felt a lot fitter by the end of the holiday!!

It was brilliant, spacious clean with every neccessary appliance.Fantastic views from the fourth floor, there is no lift so would obviously not be suitable for persons unable to climb stairs but otherwise this appartment was excellent value for money. The security gates gave an extra sense of safety for our vehicle.

We had a great time, the property was well situated and equipped and met our expectation, the welcome by Emma was informative and helpful. No excess noise, late night cafe bar and early supermarket opening did disturb occasionally but didnt distract from restful time. Could have had more sofa seating in lounge with 6 adults on the Hols.
The dual aspect views of the Blackwater river, Youghal harbour and the sea, are simply spectacular.
The Penthouse is beautifully decorated throughout, to make it an ideal holiday retreat for a small family group or the base for a visiting VIP on a business trip.
The Penthouse is usually self -catering, but meals can be arranged from the famous Ahernes Restaurant - as the The Penthouse is owned by the same family.
