We were welcomed to Carrigmore Farm personally by Tom and dog Lucy the day of our arrival, our first visit to Ireland. The fires were lit and the home toasty warm. A selection of food to fill our belly's was available and there were fresh flowers in the entry surrounded by a plethora of information about local and not so local attractions. The bird feeders were filled outside the kitchen window and the beds were comfy and warm. The first evening we were Tom's guests to a local home to experience an evening of Irish music. Amazing! We had our 20 and 17y/o daughters with us and they were skeptical about staying in the Farmhouse, but after the evening of music and getting to know Tom, they were sold. Even more so after finding the hair drier and curling iron as we forgot there was a difference in POWER and plugs. Tom and his lovely wife provided guidance as to how to use our time efficiently in our attempts to do it all in 6 days - which of course is impossible. We had directions printed for us for day trips and suggestions as to the best order of experiences. We had wonderful evenings of discussion at the table and left feeling well cared for and like we had made friends for life. Thank you Tom and Tina for making our experience in Ireland even better than we anticipated! We would suggest this home to all our friends and family and home to return ourselves in the not to distant future.

When people ask me about my trip to Ireland just after Christmas, I tell them it was cold, dark, rainy, and perfect. Even with the less than ideal weather conditions, we were able to do nearly everything we set out to do and each night came home to a warm, cozy, and welcoming home in the Carrigmore Farmhouse. Tom and Tina are the most welcoming hosts and the farmhouse is set up to anticipate your every need. Warm blankets for bedtime, wifi, the correct adaptors for those of us who brought the wrong ones, plenty of informative books for all our wildlife questions, a choice of books and movies for fun entertainment on less active days, a supply of food and drink, and plenty of wood and coal for the fire, plus Tom's expertise at stoking the wood burning stove to dry out our wet coats. It was a trip I would do again!

We began our stay at the authentic 1700's farm cottage with a very warm welcome by Tom and Tina the owners. We had a very comfortable stay and the great location of the cottage allowed us to do a number of day trips, which we were helped along with by great local knowledge from Tom. Highly recommended!

My new husband and I stayed at Carrigmore Farm for some of the time we were in Ireland for our honeymoon and I cannot say enough about how wonderful our hosts were! The cottage itself is amazing; there was plenty of space and it was beyond clean and situated in the Irish countryside, if you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place. However if you are lucky enough to stay at Carrigmore you will soon realize the best part of your stay is how welcoming Tom and Tina, your hosts, are! As I said we were there on our honeymoon and Tina had fresh flowers, chocolates and bottle of wine waiting for us upon our arrival. Tom had the fire going and it was the perfect place to walk into after a long day of traveling. In addition Tom and Tina had stocked our kitchen and pantry so we did not have to immediately rush out to get food. The highlight of our time at Carrigmore was attending an Irish music house party, if you are staying on a Tuesday and Tom invites you to join him to the party you MUST go!!! It is unlike anything else you will experience in Ireland and the musicians are amazing!!! Thank you again Tom and Tina for making our time at Carrigmore time we will remember our entire lives. We truly hope to be back in the future!!
