We have just spent a wonderful month at Villa Aisling. The villa was everything we could have wished for and more - spacious, with high ceilings in the dining and (fully equipped) kitchen area. The bedrooms were fine with good bathroom facilities and we found the ceiling fans cooled us down sufficiently, so we did not need to use the air conditioning. The pool was extremely welcoming in the mid-30 degree heat and we made full use of the Cretan barbecue in an outside dining area that had its own ceiling fan - a really good idea. Thanks for a truly relaxing stay!

We had a fantastic holiday staying at this villa. The welcome pack was the best we have ever had. The villa is excellent value for money. The neighbour (Keith) was very helpful with his local knowledge and his help in negotiating the entrance from the road which was difficult without grounding the car. Val (who looks after the villa) is always on hand should you need assitance. Certainly worth a repeat visit!!

This villa was just as described on the website, it was furnished as expected with most things needed whilst on holiday. The pool was fantastic and we spent many a day just lazing around it. There was a fantastic welcome basket and the fridge was stocked with all essentials which was a godsend for us as there was a petrol strike on for our first week and we could not really go anywhere!
The only downside for us were the mosquitoes, as we were all bitten many times every night. In the villa information it mentioned that there were plug ins but we could not find any. However, we bought a spray and kept all the doors and windows closed in the evenings. Mosquito nets would have been very useful indeed do come prepared!
Overall we had a lovely holiday here and felt very comfortable and secure in the surroundings.

An excellent villa for a relaxing getaway, no hassles with all mod cons available at the villa. Although a car is a necessity there are some very good restaurants within a relaxing downhill 30 min walk.
Perfect for a secluded BBQ beside the pool with stunning views of the valley and set in a beautiful garden.
Overall a great experience and we would hope to repeat it soon.

Aisling Villa gave us a peaceful, relaxing holiday with excellent facilities that were excellent value for money. The villa is very well equipped, the pool gave us wonderful days of fun and relaxation and the books, games and dvd collection made for useful diversions when we were looking for something to do. Based centrally on the North coast we were also able to get to most parts of the island in under 2 hours. We were looked after really well while we were there by an English couple who live 2 doors away. Thank you for the well needed rest that we were after.

excellent allround more than expected surpllies left excellent service from caretakers who were extremeley helpful wish we could come back tomorrow maybe one day soon ! lovely friendly resort and very friendly people
An absolutely fabulous villa in a lovely quiet village but not too far from shops at all. Home from home - everything you could want was there, even a fabulous welcoming pack. Did not want to come home. Would definitely go there again and probably will next year.
We have already recommended the villa to friends.
Many many thanks Carol and John.
Wonderful villa with lovely personal touches and beautiful garden. Easy to reach lots of places to visit and very friendly neighbours. Will go again!
Had a wonderful time in the splendid Aisling Villa - a real home from home. The villa was an ideal location for exploring the island. memorable places were Preveli beach, and Ayios Gallini on the south coast and Chania, Rethymno and Panorma on the North coast. Alan and Barbara, John and Norma. 14/10/08
After missing the turn for the road to the villa we did find this little Shangrila. Villa and pool are great, weather was superb, ran out of holiday to do everyhing we had planned. David and Susan 02/10/07
This is our third stay in your beautiful home. Such relaxing surroundings - you have your home equipped with everything we needed to make our stay here the best we've ever had. Absolutely wonderful trip.I hope we will be back again very soon. Joan and Dermot 13/05/08
We've had a fantastic time, the villa is spacious, clean, cool and very private. The views are fantastic and the village very friendly. We have been all over the island but would suggest that wherever you go..go EARLY. Rethymno market, Knossos, Horo Sfakia, all great to get there before the other tourists and leave before the sun hits its high at 12.30/1.00pm. We're all vegetarians but have not struggled for gorgeous food, especially at the Knossos and carribean restaurants on Rethymno harbour, also the White Lady veggie breakfast. Long hot days by the pool watching eagles swallows and finches are followed by cool nights watching bats owls and cats. A great relaxing stay.
