Having stayed in Villa B around 8 years ago, we knew what to expect and where everything was with regards to Villa A. Unfortunately on arrival we found the inside of the villa not that clean, with finger marks on the patio door, hairs on the floor and in the upstairs en-suite bathroom, the floors were wet and so were the toilet seats. It looked like a very quick clean had taken place with a dirty mop and water. The outdoor loungers had seen better days, there should have been 6 (for the Villa) but only 5 were there and 1 had a broken wheel at the back. The material of the sun loungers was very loose and saggy and not particularly comfortable to lie on. Inside when the freezer door was opened, the fridge door dropped a cm or so, also the electric shutter on the patio door didn’t always rise 1st time. All in all this bill was showing sings of wear and tear and some things could do with replacement.
Having said that, we still had a lovely and relaxing stay, the air conditioning is superb and the location of the villa is perfect if you want peace and quiet. The pool is a good size and the hedges between the villas have now grown so much you are not overlooked at all. The villa is a good size and so is the outdoor eating area. Also pool towels are provided so no need to take your own unless visiting beaches.
Annita has always been great at responding to emails prior to departure. The nearest supermarket is a few minutes drive away and not walkable in the Kefalonian heat, so hire a car at the airport, I always use Greekstones.
Still love Villa Brio Exclusive, and the fact that there is virtually your own piece of sea for your stay with great snorkelling. Just wondered what happened to the ladder that used to lead into the sea, as you now have to jump in off the rocks.
Such a lovely villa and brilliant pool. We loved the open and efficient communication with the owner, who were onto every matter immediately. Why, because there were a few issues that needed attention. Not enough towels, the pool had a broken drain and they were fixed promptly. I would liked to have seen a bit more attention to cleaning e.g. around the floors and the drawers were a little dusty but that would be due to lack of use. The access to the jetty was impossible for me as I have arthritis and could not navigate it well, however the rest of the family managed. We were expecting a beach but must have read it wrong as it was rocks only. The villa is big and spacious and the kitchen was well equipped, the outdoor area was ample - brilliant if you have smaller children who play. We are all adults and just wanted to rest back after a hard day sailing. All in all I give this villa 10/10 and would come back. Lovely villa, lovely owner and excellent all round.
The location itself was lovely and being so close to a beautiful area to snorkel in was perfect. However, our holiday was greatly negatively effected by people who had booked both other Villas as a party of 20. They liked to stay up late, play loud music and talk loudly. We were a family of 5 and not in Greece to party. I would suggest that any families or small groups should check first who else is in the other Villas and if 2 others have been booked together.
It is also worth noting that there are no real kitchen ingredients like silver foil, cling film, tea/ coffee or anything re basics. You would need to shop for all of that on arrival.
Skala is a lovely place and has everything that you would need.
Lovely Villa with fabulous views. The daily cleaning and pool maintenance were a bonus and added to the comfort of our stay. The extensive grounds were a nice surprise and would have been great when our children were younger! We would definitely visit again. The high hedges around each villa on the complex helped to maintain privacy .....but..... unfortunately....towards the end of our stay inconsiderate neighbours arrived with no regard for others in neighbouring villas - also on holiday! Really wasn’t in keeping with the previously calm, peaceful surroundings. Kefalonia is a beautiful place and the noise of the cicadas and goats are all you really need when holidaying there 😊
We had a lovely stay at villa A with beautiful views over the sea. The pool was great and cleaned every day as was the villa. Good location with a short drive to lots of places to eat.
