GENERAL

This is a great house to enjoy all year long – the proximity of the island of Salamina to Athens is one of the greatest advantages; you can be at the center of Athens in an hour, then go back to the peace and tranquility of the island in no time. There are ferries that reach Salamina every 15 minutes 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The port of Piraeus is also very close to the island, and Athens International Airport is also about an hour away. Despite the proximity to Athens, Salamina island enjoys peace and quiet all year long. Saronic Citadel villa is in the countryside of the island and sits on the top of a hill overlooking the sea and the hills around it.

DESCRIPTION
.
The villa is more than 416 square meters in size located on a 10,000 square meter land plot full of olives and trees. All parts of the villa have views towards the sea and towards the hills. The closest beach is a 5 minute car drive. The house is situated on a quiet area away from the noise of the nearby villages.
It has a 30 square meter pool with a depth of 1.30cm and it is fully air conditioned for both summer and winter conditions. It comprises of three levels and sleeps up to 21 people in total, including two infants 0-2 years of age. When you approach the main entrance, the external doors resemble medieval castle; the whole villa is made of stone and wood. Entering the main gate, you will reach a large terrace that overlooks the sea, an ideal place for taking breakfast and meals. To the left you will find the main door of the house.

Entering the house, you will see the ground floor living room, with large windows facing the sea. The living room connects to the kitchen – which is fully equipped-and to two double bedrooms, one of which also has a single bed. There is a bathroom with a large bathtub just outside the two bedrooms. The ground floor living room gives access to an attic that can be reached via a set of wooden stairs; the attic has one double bed one additional single bed and a guest toilet. There is also a large balcony overlooking the surrounding hills.

The ground floor living room also gives access to two more levels: the mid-ground level and the basement, both of which can be reached by stairs.

The mid-ground level has a small hallway leading to two double bedrooms, and one toilet with shower.
The basement is the last and lowest level; you will find a large living room area, the second living room of the house, with large windows overlooking the sea. Again, the living room connects to a fully equipped kitchen. The living room also gives access to a double bedroom, and a bathroom with a shower cabin.

There are also three additional single beds that can be placed wherever you wish to. And we can also arrange up to two baby cots to be placed wherever you wish to.

We can arrange as extras a breakfast buffet for you to be served at the terrace; we can also arrange superb meals for you and your guests (three types: local-Med., Fish, or Meat). You can arrange all these on arrival, without any need for pre-ordering.

We can also arrange for your transportation from the airport to the villa with a minibus and arrange for the car rental company to deliver your rental cars at the villa. And we can also arrange excursions with boats making sea tours around the island. For these services you must let us know well in advance.

LOCATION

The island of Salamina connects to Athens through a 15 min ferry passage. You can be anywhere in Athens in about an hour, yet still maintain the countryside-island style you are looking for. The house is about 15 minutes from the main town of Salamina so you can do your shopping and return in no time.

This castle is in the countryside and in a quiet area near the beach and mountains. It has a pool, a balcony, a barbecue, a garage and outside lighting. Car hire is necessary as the renter will need a car to get about for shopping, eating out and the beach; however parking is available if required.
