The old town of Rhodes is the oldest inhabited medieval town in Europe and as World Heritage Monument it is protected by UNESCO.
Throughout history its various occupants have left their traces in this beautiful town and as you get lost in the maze of its many cobble-paved streets, you will be left with a deep impression created by the mixture of oriental and western architecture.
Every historical period from the Ancient Greek,Hellenistic,Roman and Byzantine times to the Venetians/ Knights of St.John and later to the Ottomans; all these have left their mark in this old town.
This mixture of cultures makes the Old Town of Rhodes a living monument, creating many opportunities for the visitor to wander around and explore the different faces of this lovely place.

As you close the large wooden door behind you, you enter a different world, a world that has maintained the character of the period of the knights.
On the ground floor you enter the stone hall which is separated from the livingroom by a stone arch. The open diningroom- kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences.
On the 1st floor there are 2 double bedrooms (1 with double bed and 1 with twin beds), 2 bathrooms with shower/WC and an extra open room with a double couch bed so 6 persons can sleep here comfortably.
As you walk out into the garden which is surrounded by a wall to give you privacy, you have a small terrace with plenty of sitting space.A few steps lead to the open part of the garden with a towering palmtree,a dining and barbeque area. There also is another small building which contains a bathroom with shower,W.C. and washing machine.
Although the house is located in the center of the old town, you will find it an amazingly quiet place, a wonderful oasis inmidst the busier outside world.

The house is situated close to the center of the Old town, in a narrow shopping street with little shops and as no cars are allowed,it is quiet.Yet restaurants and bars are in walking distance and we are happy to recommend some of the best ones, known mainly to locals.

We had a great 5 day stay. The villa is in the heart of the Old Town, with tourist attractions, shops and restaurants on the doorstep. The owner was excellent at communicating, answered all of our questions and was extremely flexible with our arrival and departure times. Highly recommended.

Our family of four (children aged 12 and 14) were warmly greeted by Monica who led us to the home on our arrival. Her pride in the home is infectious and we were sad to have to leave. The home is spacious and beautifully decorated and made even more wonderful by the backyard patio and garden…a complete contrast to the noise of the street outside the front door. My only issue was that there is no hair dryer. The neighbourhood is fantastic for touring the Old Town, shopping and eating out. La Varka, Nireas and Taverna Kostas were our favourites. Even our neighbours welcomed us into the neighbourhood for our short stay. You cannot get this experience staying in a hotel! We also took a day trip to Symi which was easily booked the day before at the port and a great change of pace from busy Rhodes Town (about 160 euro for all of us). Thank you Monica for your hospitality…we will be back!

This was fabulous! The house was even nicer than the photos. The back patio was lovely. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The living room was very comfortable, and larger than it looked in the photos. The beds were really comfortable, the bathrooms were nice. Plenty of hot water and heat/air conditioning. We want to return and stay longer. The location is right in the old town where every street and alley is interesting. Its a short walk from everything in the old town, and a short walk to the outskirts where you can park a car. The owner was very helpful and recommended places to eat and visit. I HIGHLY recommend this spot.

We were delighted with the property at Chevaliers Inn. It was just what we were looking for in Rhodes -very peaceful yet convenient for all the main sites. It is very well equipped and Monica was very helpful on our arrival. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Well what does one say when we booked in for a week and stayed a lot longer due to the bestest accomadation in Rhodes old town by far, with the most accomadating landlady one could have in Monica, the property was spotless has everything one would ever want + some, the atmosphere that surrounds the property we will never forget in my life time, so as you gather if reading this we just did not want to leave thank you Monica very very much for your hospitality, John & Kay

We have been in this beautiful house at the beginning of May 2011. The house is fantastic, very close to everything in the old town (maximum 10 minutes walking) but placed in a quiet street close to St Athanasio gate, were we easily parked the car (5 minutes walking to the house). We really had good time: the furniture, the internal garden, the rooms were great. We definitely recommend this house to all the people who love to expirience, even just for a couple of week, to live in a beautiful traditional house in a incredible old town like Rhodes. Thanks a lot to Monica (the owner) who has always been very friendly and ready to help us (even if there wasnt any problem). Well be back! Max

My partner and I loved this place, its a beautiful old building in an amazing area in the old Town in Rhodes. You have everything you want there, a lovely harbour to see and shops and restaurants on your door step. my parents came over for a BBQ a couple of evenings and loved the place, they said they have never seen a place like it before and they are wanting to stay there next year, we will definately be going back again! Monica the owner was brilliant, very helpful and gave us all the info we needed. Rebecca & Karl

This property is excellent. It is located in the heart of the Old Town and you can step out of the front door right into the quaint cobbled streets in the hub of the town. When we arrived, we were amazed at the amount of room and the facilities available. The kitchen is very well equipped. The bedrooms are a good size and both have en-suite. There is a shady area before the garden which was very nice to relax late afternoon and early evening. We ate around the table in the garden most mornings which was excellent. The sitting room has comfortable chairs and there is a TV / cable / DVD to watch if you can find the time! Monica, the owner was very accomodating and was always available should the need arise. We had a very enjoyable stay in June 08 and wouldnt hesitate to go back.
Best holiday! The property was great. Lots of space, clean and very nice and well kept. We really enjoyed the garden where we spend lots of evenings eating great food. You can really feel like you are living right in the middle of history in this property. Rhodos Old Town was an experience we enjoyed alot. We are absolutely planning on returning and we couldnt live anywhere else but in this house. Our biggest applaud to the landlady Monica. She was the greatest! She really took good care of us all and made our holiday the best. Thanx!
