The park , the beach, day trips
The St Theodore Beach Park is a very beautiful forested area next to the sea and is one of the most popular beaches in the Athens area. The park has nice walkways for long walks or bicycle rides, a play ground for children, tennis and basket ball courts, as well as a couple of little taverns by the water.
The village of St Theodore is a 10-15 minute easy walking distance from the cottage and offers anything and everything needed for an evening out on the town or a comfortable stay at home. There are multiple banks, pharmacies, super markets, eating places, and a couple of tourist shops.
The village has a beautiful seashore boardwalk packed with restaurants, taverns and ice cream places a bit of everything for the family to enjoy.
The nearby town of Loutraki offers a delightful ice cream pallor nested in the side of a mountain overlooking the Bay of Corinth, hot mineral baths, and, for the gaming inclined, an excellent casino.
Downtown Athens and the Athens airport are easily and rapidly accessible by car using controlled access highways or by using Greeces new high speed rail system or its modernized inter-city buses only about one hours travel time is needed.
After exploring Athens and seeing its sites, day trips into Corinth, Epidavros, Mycenae, Olympia, Cape Sounion, Marathon, and Delphi are all easily accomplished wihtin a days trip from St Theodore.
Our home is a detached villa of 90 sq m of living space, with a large fenced in garden.
It has a great room (kitchen, living area with fireplace, and dining area), one bathroom and three bedrooms sleeping six. One bedroom can double as sun room. It also has a nice covered front porch.
All the kitchen appliances are high quality. We renovated out home in 2004 with new kitchen cabinets, electrical appliances, windows, doors, plastered walls, and bathroom. The covered front porch overlooks the pine and olive tree yard where one can barbeque, enjoy the greenery, and where children can safely play.
Parking: Private parking in the rear of the property for two cars inside the fenced in yard.
The house is in a lovely location just across the road from a beach.
The house was clean and comfortable with a safe enclosed garden for the children to play safely.

The cottage OK

We had a great time in this luxurious and well equipped house for a family with children such as ours (3 small children). The location is excellent towards the pebble beach and the great beach restaurant on it. The location is great for exploring the region, Peloponessos and Athens. I could only imagine that the route description to the house is improved since it is hard to find! The location close to the beach and road makes it noisy, especially in the weekends. As I said, i would certainly recommend it.

The cottage is well maintained and furnished as advertised. We rented through another website, though, that said there is internet access at the cottage, which is not true. In addition, one of the pictures makes it seem as if the beach is right across a shell country road from the cottage. Actually, you have to walk down that road and cross a rather busy main street to get to the beach. Also, it would be helpful to have instructions on how to work the oven since the icons on the oven are not very understandable.
Overall, though, we enjoyed staying there.

Very well equipped (dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, hob, huge fridge, microwave, airco, plenty of crokery, cutlery, pots, pans etc)
Fully fenced in garden and nice terrace.
Great location for trips to Athens, Peloponnese.
1 hour from airport.
Pebble beach, sea, beach cafe, small kids playground 100m/2 minutes walk. Sea and beach very clean... no dogs. Reasonably priced restaurants/cafes/shops within walking distance.
It is in an area where Greeks come for holidays and days out. Few 'foreign' tourists and no British/Irish pubs.
We had a great time here with our 5 year old daughter and would thoroughly recommend it.

February 2007We really enjoyed staying at your house and appreciated that there were all the cleaning supplies and some regularly used food items already available to use. It was very nice to have a washer available so we didn't have to pack so many clothes. It was also nice that Natalie was there to meet us and give us some pointers and pick up some groceries for us. Stavros was excellent and we recommended him to our travel agent.Thank you again for the stay at your house. The Forsyths, Canada The ForsythsCanada
My husband and I and our 19 yr. old daughter and 22 year old son stayed at this delightful cottage from Dec. 30,2006 to Jan. 6, 2007. My son turned 23 on Jan.3. What a thrill to be in ancient Corinth that birthday. The cottage was so comfortable and modern with a great kitchen to work in and nice dishwasher, stove and refrig. for food preparation so we didn't have to eat out all the time. When we arrived Despina's neice Natalie and her husband and son met us. They had brought some buns, butter , beer , coke and a New Years Traditional Cake with a gold coin inside. We tried to eat out on New years Eve but they were all private parties so we stayed home and had fun with our own dinner and then at midnight cut the cake to see who got the piece with the good luck coin. We enjoyed the fresh grapefruit, lemons and mini oranges growing in the yard. WE even used the grill outside one night and had a fire in the inside fireplace one night as well. It was too chilly to use the front porch for much more than hanging clean clothes out to dry. This cottage was so convenient with our rental car to drive to so many things. Despina gave us the name of a taxi driver who took us to Athens one day. It was a great way to get around. We just loved everything about our Greece vacation and the cottage was so comfortable with each child having their own room. If any future guests have any questions I would gladly answer them if I can. We want to come back again sometime. Thank you, Natalie, for all your help and answers to our many questions. And ,Despina, thank you for all your help. I hope some day we might get to meet. If you or any of your relatives want to come to So. Dakota I will give you a Black Hills tour with our tour company. Despina is a wonderful homeowner. She went out of her way to arrange pickup by taxi for my son who was unable to fly with us since we were using frequent flyer miles, but the week before the airline was able to get us all on the same flight. Despina can answer all your questions that you have and help you in anyway she can. She also had a nice assortment of drinks in the refrigerator. This was very nice after traveling on the plane and then driving to the cottage. My husband appreciated the cold beer! Our stay at the cottage was very relaxing. We had been in Italy twelve days before arriving in Athens. So staying in a layback, family oriented city of St. Theodore was what was needed. We would get up in the morning and go to visit one of the many sites to see. The first day we went to the Acropolis on August 15, suggested by Despina. This was a holy day and we were able to get our admission free. Being a holiday the city of Athens was quite. We drove our car into the city without any problems. When we got back to the cottage we ate a late lunch, had fresh squeezed lemonade and then we went swimming in the sea. My son picked the lemons from the yard and he made the lemonade. I thought this was pretty good for a 23-year-old college student. This was our normal daily routine. Afternoons got very hot in August, so we just relaxed. The cottage accommodated our family of 5 adults. The kitchen has modern appliances. I did cook for my family daily and found the kitchen to be very user friendly. Air conditioning works great. Each room has its own unit. Having a washing machine came in very handy. The clothes dry very quickly outside. Despina also got a calling card for my young men to call on their girl friends and check the emails. We also had a pleasant visit from Despina. I wanted to meet her and she came down from her mountain home to see us. For the value and experience I recommend staying at the Agii Theororii cottage.Just last night my husband said he missed his fresh squeezed lemonade. We did discuss our next trip to Athens and would like to stay at Despina’s other home she rents. Just a lovely GREAT VACATION!!! -Daun Feypel Reul, Acworth, GA (firstname.lastname@example.org
