This property is set in the peacefull Marpissa Village in one of the fanous cosmopolitan islands Parosi. Constructed in 1700 in the style typical of the Cyclades,the two storey building has a living environment of 220m², comprising of the main house and 2 guest houses(at extra charge), each with a private entrance.
It is close to all amenities and in a walking distance from Piso Livadi and Punda Beach. Naousa is not far either and the villa is extremely well located all round.

The walls are of local stone which has been plastered and whitewashed. The bright summer light is thus reflected from the outside of house, keeping the interior cool.
To retain the original spirit of the house, the décor is simple and the majority of the furniture consists of antique pieces which have been gathered from around the Cyclades. The ceilings have wooden beams, as do the majority of traditional Cycladic houses.Of good quality, this is an ideal holiday home for a group of family or friends who wish to experience Greek village life.

From an archway a couple of steps below the street level, the ground floor entrance opens into a spacious dining/kitchen area. The kitchen is equipped with storage space, an oven, a fridge/freezer and a coffee machine. To the left of the door is a dining table and chairs. An interior staircase leads to the upper floor. Through an archway and on a lower level, is a sitting area with built in seating. Down from this sitting area is hallway where you will find a shower room/wc., a laundry room and a door which opens onto a private balcony. To one side of the sitting area is a cosy little room with a fireplace and built in seating. Two openings in the wall provide a diffuse and romantic light.
This room also has a Klavani, an old stone staircase which leads to the upper floor, access being via a trap door in the ceiling. A small alcove lies between the staircase and the wall where 2 people can sleep.
Throughout the lower level, the floors are covered with cement in shades of ochre, a colour typical of the islands in past years and currently undergoing a return to popularity.
Upper level :
Internal access to the upper floor of the house is via the staircase in the kitchen. The staircase opens into a spacious sitting room with traditional style sofa, an antique chest of drawers and some lovely decorative items.
There are two external doors in the sitting room. One is the upper entrance of the house which opens out onto a small balcony over-looking the street. The other door opens onto the terrace which connects with the Guest House 1, from where there are views of the sea, the surrounding countryside and the village.
Through two archways in the sitting room there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and a corner fireplace and the other with 2 single beds. Both bedrooms have a sea view. Outside the bedrooms is a private balcony which gives access to a shower room/wc.
The floors in the upstairs rooms are parquet and all ceilings are beamed.
The villa comprises 2 bedrooms and 2 rooms in total; 1 double, 3 twinbeds , 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities . This gives room for up to 6-8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.
The villa has 2 bathrooms for your party's use.
The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls and a fax machine.
eating & living :
There is room for 4 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.
Smoking is allowed in this villa.

The villa is in a a very quiet area but you may hear occasional noise from children playing in the village. It has access to a patio area, a balcony, . If you are driving there is parking on the perimeter of the village,. No cars are allowed in the villages

The house in Marpisa is an excellent base for exploring beautiful Paros. We were given additional access to the vacant guest room which was really good as that has the best outdoor living.
The house has all the mod cons except internet, phone or a DVD player. As described, it has plenty of character.
Welcome drinks were a nice touch.
A car is recommended and we found it very useful to have one.
Plenty of room for the nine of us and we look forward to returning again!
Lovely picturesque village in the beautiful island of Paros. The house is in a quiet "pedestrian only" zone and is recently renovated keeping the traditional greek architectue untouched. Traditionally and elegantly decorated it has a lovely view from the big terrace and from every window of the house. Nice little taverna with great greek food only a minute away and also small super market within 2 minutes walking. I loved my time there and would definitely come back. I strongly recommend it.
My first trip to Paros landed me in this oasis of calm and I am very gratefull to you for this.
I have lovely memories of birds chirping in the courtyard in the air.

The village is charming, slow-paced, with nice alleys and lots of character.
The house is recently renovated, but having kept the original character.
My room was quaint and the view was perfect. Every morning I could hear the chiming of church bells, what a brilliant way to wake up.
