lemonia house, stonebuilt farmers house in non touristic village

The lemonia house is called that way because it always had a lemon tree in the courtyard, that was special because not only did it give lemons in more periods, but as well the lemons were without pits. This very charming house stands aloin a very friendly greek neighborhood, and has a wonderful atmosphere to it. it is stonebuilt and we have kept things simple but artistic, and atmospheric. the wonderful colors make one happy and wanting to come home. it is spacious enough, and there are 2 sleeping places with double beds and in the living room, there are 2 single beds on high raised platforms each reachable by its own stairs. and the kitchen is long and has quite some space as well, as well has a double bed, in the end, of the space, with curtains. this was very usual in the old days, and it is built as well on a high rairsed platform. and it is fully equipped. The house is a house that you could really expect from a real greek holiday. The village is a sleepy farmers village with friendly greek and some foreign people that keep to themselves. the neighborhood is with the old ladies sitting on the street, watching their grandchildren play, and drinking their wines or souma, gossiping about life and the surroundings.

the house has 2 double beds. and 2 single beds. the double beds are not really appropriate for elderly or infirm people.

Stonebuilt 19-th ceintury farmers house. Simple, spacious and well equipped house. located in a very typical Greek, cozy area, sleeps 6.

We are very pleased with our stay in the Lemonia House in Koskinou. The house is Greek style with some modern touch. Everything worked perfect. The only thing we perhaps would change is to have a seperate bedrom. The beds are perfectly allright but none of the beds is situated in a seperate room. We strongly recommend this lovely house to anyone who loves to live in a smaller town with a lot of wonderful local influences but still nearby both the beach and the city. We will gladly book this house again.

Phantastic house, very nice view from the roof terrace. Only "improvement area" is the wardrobe/closet (difficult to hang clothing) and the light (both inside and outside light is not sufficient to read, except in the kitchen).
This year, in July we had a wonderful time in the Lemonia House. And we would like to say "Thank you" to Gudrun and Yorgas for our gorgeous Greek holidays! They have amazing, very stylish house of our dreams! Inside of it you can feel the atmosphere of love and hospitality. We were really glad to spend our vacations in the traditional Greek house. We had a great opportunity to feel the rhythm and to see the way of life in a Greek village Koskinu. We felt like we are the part of that life with its taverns with live music and national holidays. The house is very cosy and it is a big pleasure to live in it. Seems like a picture from a fairytale became real. Now we can say for sure that all our summer vacations we will spend in Koskinu, in Gudruns House! We will recommend all our friends to try to live this way, away from the noisy hotels. And we are sure that everybody will love it!
very nice house, well come back next year...

About the owner
When i lived in Holland I was a lawyer, having my own advising business. Then i met my Greek husband and moved to Greece, where we live and have children. I used to have a rental company renting only traditional houses of other house owners on Rhodes. I have sold this and now I am renting only my own traditional properties in Rhodes. My husband builds and sells traditional properties, and I rent the ones we have kept. We do our work with lots of love for the buildings we renovate.
