Villa overview - owner's description
The country lane where Villa Barnhurst rests has no passing traffic, adding to the peace you will feel when you stay here. When you want a livelier atmosphere, Keri is only 2km away and has some notable tavernas as well as a lovely shingle beach, lapped by crystal clear waters and backed by shady trees.
Villa Barnhurst has some fantastic features including a freshwater pool and built-in barbecue. For the ultimate in relaxation and comfort, the pool has loungers, umbrellas, hammock and a pagoda. The large terrace with its dining table for six and lower pool terrace provide uninterrupted views across the bay of Keri and towards the island of Marathonesi.
This attractive villa provides high quality accommodation for up to four people. Although modern in all its facilities, it has the feel of a country cottage with its timber beamed ceilings and stonewalls. All of the rooms have sea views. On the ground floor, the living area has large doors opening onto the terrace, comfortable sofas and a dining table for six. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for self catering, and the shower room has a shower cubicle, hand basin and WC.
On the first floor you will find a twin bedroom and a double bedroom. The latter has a sea view terrace and lovely furnishings. Sliding glass doors in both bedrooms give access to a large terrace with sea views. The bathroom on this floor has a full bath, shower and basin.
With its calm atmosphere and panoramic views, Villa Keri is ideal for those looking to relax amongst beautiful surroundings.
Situated on the southwest coast of the island, Keri has been careful in its development so as not to lose its charming air of tradition and culture. The lovely old village, situated on a green hill high above the liminaki (or little harbour) known as Keri Limni, is full of traditional stone houses, quiet narrow streets and its own exquisite little church. Beyond this is the lighthouse and the famous viewing point where the chance to take in some of the most dramatic sunsets imaginable is not to be missed.
Down in the harbour itself, the fabulous beach of sand and fine shingle shelves gently into crystal clear waters whilst the handful of waterfront tavernas - noted for their excellent food - and cafe bars provide a totally relaxed and low-key backdrop. From here you can hire a boat for the day or take an organised trip across to the island of Marathanisi with it huge sandy beaches or visit (and swim in) the beguilingly beautiful Keri caves.
All in all, Keri, with its unique scenery, wonderful panoramic views and tranquil atmosphere, is a lovely place for an unhurried, hassle-free holiday.

A fantastic villa in a great location road to villa a bit of a challenge but should not detract from the sheer beauty and seclusion of the villa . All facilities as described and the views and pool are spectacular . Small, compact but perfect and more than enough space for a family of 4. In my view in the best part of the island . A car is essential and a lot of travelling to see the sites but all said and done a great week had by all -sun , sea and relaxation perfect .
The house was very beautifull, cozy and clean. Pool was perfect and views were amazing. We did appreciate aircondition because it rained only ones in two weeks and mostly it was over 30 degree celsius. All facilities in the house were exelent, except dishwasher. Reason to bad washing result might be in the water, too. Road was very bad to the house. Good car is essential! Outdoor furnitures were little bit worn-out. Keri village was worth visiting and we did enjoy every minute of our holiday.
The Villa was perfect - with wonderful views over the bay on a serene hill site but only a short drive to Keri Bay. admittedly the road up to the villa is far from perfect but the bumpy ride is more than worth it. A car is essential. The pool is wonderful although not really suitable for young children due to its depth. The Villa was clean and tidy and has everything you need and Mike who looks after the pool loves to chat and give you the info on the island - all for a cup of tea.
This was perfect for us as we wanted a quiet away from it all holiday - however for the more adventurous there is the diving centre just down the road or you can hire a boat to go round the island.
An idyllic holiday I just wish it didnt have to end.
We wish we could keep Villa Keri a secret all to ourselves! What a fantastic 5 star Villa with beautiful views from the pool area, overlooking the bay. The pictures on the web site are lovely but definitely dont do it justice - the whole space is fabulous. You cant fail to "chill out" around the superb pool area, swinging in the hammock watching the boats come into the bay! Keri Lake itself is a typically Greek village with excellent restaurants, lovely people and a sweet, idyllic beach ( pebbles so take beach shoes). We had many a day lazing on the beach and swimming in the bay, looking for turtles! Hire a boat too for a fun time zipping up and down the coast! All amenities are not too far away, supermarkets, Zante Town and Port and if youre into 18-30s Laganas ( but good for shopping if you go early to avoid the teenage drinking!
Well definitely be back and wish we could find the time to come back this year! Thank you for the best holiday weve had in many years.
We had a fantastic week at this property, it was exactly what we were looking for and exceeded our expectations. The villa was in great condition and was really well equipped.
The outdoor space was stunning with amazing views and a great BBQ (which kept the men very happy!).
Local area was quiet and relaxing but we were there at the end of the season. Would highly recommend hiring a boat for half a day and exploring the island a bit.
All in all, a great week and Im getting quite sad writing this as Im sat in the office, wishing I was back on the hammock by the pool!
