This is a recent build and has been furnished to a very good standard in a modern open plan style. The villa is airy and light and most windows are fitted with insect screens so windows can be left open at night. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of crockery, cutlery, saucepans etc. The bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of storage for clothes but the main bedroom would benefit from air conditioning. Both bathrooms are fitted to an excellent standard. The living area is large and well planned with leather settees and stylish dining furniture. Additional storage space for all the holiday bits and bobs would be useful. The villa is set in a very quiet area of S Crete, but there are local tavernas offering good quality food at very reasonable prices. Try Zorbas at Toutsouros for an excellent meal. In our opinion, the villa is best suited to couples and families with older children, as there are open sided stairs in the villa and steep unfenced dro ps from the terrace to the neighbouring villa and pool below which could be a hazard to the elderly or young children. This is an excellent place to get away from it all and we were pleased that we had hired a 4 x 4 which was great for the local roads and the steep dirt track up to the villa.

We spent 10 days here as a base to see the south coast and sample a more authentic Greece, before tourism kicks in. We had a wonderful relaxing time. Empty beaches and good tavernas. The area is stunningly beautiful and the accommodation excellent and would recommend anyone to spend time here. Many of the roads are steep and winding, giving stunning views at every turn. There is a steep drive to the property. Bear this in mind when booking your car rental.

Having rented this villa why looking for a plot of land in the area we wanted to buy this place instead. Very english and modern yet has all the greek character and charm. we recommend it . Ernst and Una Weiter, Stuttgart. Germany
We were the first to rent this villa and amazed to find this gem, its beatifully fitted out loads of room and luxury fittings etc, views to keep you at the villa or its very close to some beatiful sandy beaches, we want to book again before the owner realises how cheap this place is ! About the owner
Our first discovery of crete was on a package holiday to Chania on the west side of the island over ten years ago. A few days spent exploring and we were taken in by the beauty of the island and friendly people. Along with the fresh cusine, local wines and perfect sunny days and we were hooked. Over the next few years I spent a week a year on a motorcycle touring around the Island exploring and looking for a spot that had everything we wanted. In Keratocambos we think we have found that and hope you also find the area as beatiful and romantic as we do. Our local knowledge and understanding of what we in the UK and want in a holiday means the Villas are designed and fitted out to give a greek feel, but with all the home comforts we are used to in the UK. The villas are aimed at independent travellers like us who want to explore and have the privacy, peace and quiet, beatiful scenery and a local village life.
