Villa Diana has a large 10m x5m private pool and is surrounded by olive, orange and lemon trees and is ideally situated for relaxing and enjoying the surrounding countryside. which is an area of natural beauty.Within 5 minute walking distance are village shops and several small traditional tavernas offering a large variety of local cuisine and wine. The blue flag beach of Avithos is a 10 minute drive away and has 2 tavernas as well as a beach snack bar. A further 5 minute drive away are the 2 famous beaches, Makris Yialos and Platis Yialos in the town of Lassi. These are but a few of the many stunning beaches accessible from Villa Diana by a short drive.
Set in the heart of the wonderful verdant countryside of the Livathos area of Kefalonia. Only 15 minutes away from the airport and the island Capital, Argostoli, a vibrant and bustling town with its beautiful harbor, bars, tavernas and shops. Located in a private setting only a few kilometres from the fabulous sandy beaches of Spartia, Trapezaki (very safe for swimming) Lourdas, St Thomas, and many many more. Within walking distance (5 mins) from the nearest taverna and shops, this majestic property enjoys a delightful setting with wonderful views over the foothills of Mount Aenos, famous for its black pines, wild horses and eagles.

Villa Diana is an excellent setting for Wedding Ceremonies, as shown in photos this spacious villa has all the facilities required to supply a luxurious backdrop to your Special Day. Please contact owner for contact details for Wedding Planners such as Ionian Weddings who will help you organise your perfect day in the Idyllic surroundings of Villa Diana on Kefalonia.

Drogati Caves
Fabulous cave system, once used by Maria Callas for a concert. A palace of stalactites and stalagmites

Melessani Lake
Be rowed around the underground lake in awe of your surroundings, and hear the fascinating story of how the water comes to be there.

Saint Gerasimos Monastery
Home to the remains of Saint Gerasimos, patron saint of Kefalonia. In the garden is the large plane tree that was planted by St Gerasimos in the 16th century. While inside the ornate church you can see his remains - after death he did not decompose, a feat that prompted his canonization. With church interior that is quite amazing. It is a working monastery, so all the usual rules about dressing modestly apply.

Myrtos Beach
One of the most stunning views of Kefalonia a must see if only for a photo shoot

The islands capital, the place for you if you enjoy people watching whilst enjoying a lovely meal in the evening. Great outdoor cafe society. Many shops, restaurants and tavernas.

Picturesque harbour village, which survived the big earthquake of 1953.

Hire a boat
Why not spoil yourself with a touch of luxury on a skippered yacht charter or for the more independent hire a boat from resorts such as Katelios and Aghia Efemia (one of the prettiest villages on the island) to explore the coves and tiny beaches unreachable by car. There are also activities such as Sea Kayaking available for the more adventurous!

Greek wine? Try it at the Robola Wine Co-operative set in the beautiful Omala Valley (next door to St.Gerasimos Monastery) and have a very informative tour of the factory ….their wine tasting is very generous

Part of the charm of Kefalonia is to do nothing but relax and live on island time. Which is not to say that there is nothing to do on the island - watersports and sunbathing by fabulous turquoise seas are primary attractions

But if you can pull yourself away from the sand or surf then there are also archaeological ruins, monasteries, places of interest, myth and legend and pretty seaside villages

And not forgetting that there are also daily ferries from Kefalonia to Athens, Lefkada, Ithaca, Zakinthos, Patra, and Kallini

Family from Newbury, United Kingdom Jul 2019

We are a family of ten, grandparents, adult children and partners plus four grandchildren aged from 6 to 11. Villa Diana proved to be the best villa we have ever stayed in. It is a beautiful property set in large gardens with a lovely pool and both a terrace and a balcony for eating in the shade. The inside of the villa was clean and spacious and extremely well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the linen change mid week was great as the weather was very hot! There were pool toys and balls for the children and the boys loved having goal posts for playing football! The mountain views from the villa and its setting were wonderful. Emma who looked after the villa, was lovely and helpful giving lots of tips of where to go.
We could walk to two tavernas both serving amazing food at reasonable prices, Anna’s tavern was about a 7 minute easy walk through the village and Elionas (The Olive Tree) was about 10 minutes. Supermarkets were only a few minutes away by car and we found Avithos beach to be the best one for its safety, sandy beach, sun beds and cafe. SO many places to visit in this beautiful island, Assos, Fiskardo, Melissani Lake, Drogorati caves and locally five minutes away, St George’s Castle. Here we found Kastro’s cafe an amazing place for views and the wonderful food served up by the incredible friendly Spiros and Stelio with great banter to go with it!
So, all in all this holiday at Villa Diana was a huge success and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Thank you Sue, so glad you all had a good holiday at Villa Diana.

Family from Offham, United Kingdom Jul 2014

We had a fantastic two weeks at Villa Diana. It was very clean and the villa was cleaned twice a week. The local housekeeper made us very welcome. The pool is a great size and our children...aged 6 and 4...just loved it. The villa has a very good feel to it and it has been well thought out...with an outside fridge for your convenience. There is also an outside darts board and plenty of toys by the pool. The local tavernas were great and the beaches had something for everyone. The children loved watching the sheep being herded once a day down a nearby lane. We will definitely recommend this villa to others and will visit it again if we decide to go back to Kefalonia. We can also recommend Rory the chef....he was fab and very knowledgeable about the area too. I cant recommend him enough. Finally, the owners were so helpful beforehand offering some excellent information and links to websites. Although there is no sea view, you have a lovely view of the mountains and it is very peaceful and sooo relaxing. The sea is just 5 mins away.....It is only a 15 min drive to the capital to pick up cash, see the turtles and to do a spot of shopping. You will not be disappointed if you book this!

Have just spent a glorious week at villa Diana with kids and grandkids, ten in all. Beautifully appointed villa with great pool, offering us all the options for accommodation we required. Clive and Lyn very friendly and useful! Highly recommended are the walkable taverna Elionas (Greek night on Saturdays late but great!) and beaches at St Thomas and Trapezaki. We all had a great time and hope to return in the future. Many thanks...!

First impressions are important, as you arrive to Villa Diana with elegant gates, driveway and spacious gardens, an illuminated house and pool which like a beacon glows in the valley, it wasn't difficult to find. Arriving as we did late evening, how welcoming to find in one of the dual kitchens, the fridge and cupboards stocked with all the basic essentials including fresh milk, eggs, butter, bread etc to get our holiday started. It's the attention to details that add up to make your stay relaxing and stress free, including regular house keeping. One of the things I always appreciate is quality Wi-Fi bandwidth, for keeping connected with work (sad as that sounds). I was pleasantly surprised to find unlike so many other Villas, (especially in the countryside) that Villa Diana boasts strong Wi-Fi, we were getting a solid 6Mpbs, which is sufficient for the basics and streaming and to keen our teens happy with their social media accounts. We didn’t really fully utilise Villa Diana’s full capabilities as half our 6 kids are away, even so, the bedrooms, furnishings and facilities, you’d want for nothing. The large pool, glows enticingly evening at night with the pool and patio lights, sun loungers make for some very relaxing days. We particularly liked the balcony and the covered shade beside the pool for eating al fresco. With my wife being Greek Cypriot, we always measure up every other Greek Island and Kefalonia is beautifully stunning, was our first visit to the island. It’s people are friendly and very hospitable, with a mediterranean cuisine which is always a delight, no wonder life expectancy is so high in these cultures. Sharon and her team are wonderful hosts, with great advice and suggestions, nothing was too much, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Villa Diana and will be recommending to our friends with the hope we might return in the not too distant future also.

Review #8677352 "Fun in the sun" Ill start with the villa. Its awesome. Looks and feels right at home in the island countryside. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and big pluses go to the pool and terraces. The neighbors, Tim and Joy have been both fun and helpful. Kefalonia is beautiful, especially in June, and we were fortunate to see most of its attractions. We (a group of 8) gladly recommend the villa and the island. Thanks again Sharon.

Hi Sharon and Mike Just wanted to say that we had an absolutly fantastic holiday at "Villa Diana". Thankyou so much for all your help regarding booking the villa and with all our questions we bombarded you with. Your villa is beautiful, very well set out and furnished well, plenty of equipment and well the pool made our holiday for all of us I think. We all loved the island as well and we are sure some or all of us will go back sometime, still loads to explore although we did travel to a lot of it. My grandchildren loved watching the goats coming down from the fields and running along the road, did get a few in the garden one night!! We would certainly recommend your villa to anyone who was visiting Kephalonia, and those that have seen some of our photos all say it looks fantastic, and I say yes it was! Well once again, thankyou for letting us hire your villa, and if we ever go back we will see if it is available again. Marian and Dave Reed and family

Simply lovely villa with excellent facilities and furnishings. Quiet location but without my sons Tom-Tom I would have been utterly confused by the maze of little roads all around the local villages. We all (7 of us) had a marvellous time, helped by glorious weather. Excellent Taverna Elionas 10 minutes walk away.

9 of the Barton family stayed at this wonderful villa it was very clean the pool was excellent and cleaned every other day. There wasn't anything we needed that wasn't already at the villa. The Couple whom look after the villa on a day to basis are very helpful but leave you alone enough to enjoy the privacy that you are looking for with a villa. My family and I will be back to this great place. We had a mix up with our flights due to the ash cloud and the owners were very accomodating with us. If you are fortunate enough to be booking this villa, do not hesitate its wondeful."

Villa Diana quite simply has everything you could possibly want & need to make your holiday in Kefalonia as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Ken & JoAnne look after the villa exceptionally well. The rooms are spacious and well laid out and are quickley cooled by the villas air conditioning units. The showers are fantastic which is a first for us in beautiful Kefalonia!!.... The kitchen has all-mod-cons making cooking & cleaning for the family very easy and hassle free. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay at Villa Diana and would recommend it without hesitation.
