Agios Antonio is a beautiful, air-conditioned villa with good sized private pool in south facing, large paved and grassed garden area. It has the added benefit of central heating and log fireplace for those cooler winter evenings. Also included is CD, DVD player with many films, Gaggia coffee maker and many games etc. From the villa are stunning coastline and sea views with the island of Zante in the distance. Karavados is a typical, peaceful Kefalonian village with a large Greek Orthodox Church at its centre, two mini stores/bars one with newly opened restaurant serving traditional Kefalonian dishes daily, and lies at the foot of Mount Aenos with its sleepy hamlets, pine and olive groves scattered around the hillside. The hidden bay of St. Thomas lies a 20 min walk or 3 min drive and offers picturesque blue Ionian waters, sandy beaches, and a quaint bar overlooking the top end of the bay. The villa is 15-20 mins from the airport and 10 mins from main town of Argostoli with daily bus service available. It is ideally situated to explore this stunning island.

St. Thomas bay 1.5km. (20 min walk. 3-4 min by car.) This has two sandy beaches with sun-bed /parasol hire. Water is crystal clear making snorkeling a must. The grassy terrace of Johannas bar makes a perfect place to watch the sea. Trapezaki beach 3-4km. Lourdas 3-4km. Avithos (blue-flag) 5km.

Melisanni underground lake and Drogarati caves 25 mins. Supermarkets (Lidl, Carrefour, AB) 6-7 mins. Restaurant at St.Thomas bay (May-Oct). The capital Argostoli is a bustling town with many shops. The fresh fruit and vegetable markets are favourites with locals. Also situated nearby are a meat and fish market. Fishermen also sell their daily catch at the quay-side fresh off the boat. The cafe bars in the main square is the 'in' place to meet- you will find the trendy people sipping a frappe here. The ferry to Lixouri can be taken from the port in Argostoli for a few euros. The Drapano bridge spans the water from the quayside and is now pedestrianised. From here you have a view of the inlet and the cruise ships that port in the summer months. Large yachts also moor here (George Clooney and Tom Hanks are visitors). Argostoli and nearby Lassi have many bars and tavernas, many with live greek music. Scuba diving is available in Lassi. Banks with ATM machines are situated in Argostoli. Local village of Peratata has bakery and the adjoining cake shop is open til late. An internet cafe is also here and a bowling alley. Local mini-market open daily 7am - 11pm has adjoining bar. Kafeinon in village also has groceries and outside seating area/bar used by locals.

Car hire is not necessary as the villa is less than a 15 minute walk to a large selection of shops, bars, restaurants; however parking is available if required.
