This Modern Farmhouse is set in a quiet rural village in the heart of Vendee, on the edge of the village of L'Hermenault. It is within easy walking distance of patisserie/boulangerie, tabac/cafe, small supermarket, pharmacy, and Post Office.
The property has 3 Bedrooms, and sleeps up to 8 people.
There are two Double Rooms and 1 Twin Room. All the Bedrooms have kept their original Rustic feel but are bright and comfortable with space for all your belongings.
There is a Full Family Bathroom complete with a Bath, Shower, WC, Wash Basin and Mirror . There is also a separate Shower Room and WC.
The Living Room has 3 comfortable Sofas, two of which can be turned into Sofa Beds if needed. There is a wooden Coffee Table and Large open Fireplace which is home to a gas fire burner. The living Room has a TV which receives Basic SKY Channels, a Video/ DVD Player and CD Player for your use.
The Kitchen is fully equipped with Granite Style Work tops and plenty of Cupboard space. With a Cooker, Fridge, Freezer, Microwave, Toaster, Kettle, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, and Blender.
There is a wooden Dining Table in the Dining Area with seating for four, but if you fancy Dinner in the typical French way, Outdoor Dining is available on the Beautiful Porch overlooking the green garden and Swimming Pool, where you can soak in the beautiful sunsets and warm evenings.
There is also a BBQ on the patio.
The large Outdoor Swimming Pool is the best way to cool off from the heat, and is the best spot to relax the days away reading a book with a glass of local wine. There are sun loungers around the pool and shade can be found beneath the trees around the garden.
This Farmhouse, is quaint, and peaceful with all the mod-cons you would need to make for a comfortable stay. It really is French countryside at its best with plenty of National Parks, Historic Castles, Rolling country hill leading off to the Vineyards that make some of the most sought after Wines in France today. Whether you want to explore or unwind this is the perfect place to stay and soak in the French way of Life.
The Vendee offers attractions for all. The open countryside all around the property is quiet, tranquil and excellent for cycling, walks, bird watching, painting and wildlife or just generally relaxing, whilst on the doorstep lie numerous places of interest and outdoor activities to suit everyone.
You can reach the Vendee beaches in less than an hour. Most beaches are backed by sand dunes and pine forests with large areas for picnics and scenic coastal walks. The Vendee coast stretches for 120km and boasts many blue flag awards. There is also a large man-made beach/activity park within 25 mins drive at nearby Xanton-Chassenon which has recently been renovated and offers an alternative to the beach.
The pretty harbour of La Rochelle with its famous aquarium, numerous bars and restaurants and great shopping is approximately 45 minutes away. Futuroscope and Puy de Fou are approximately 1.5 hour's drive. The Marais Poitevin with its waterways, boat rides and abbeys is less than 30 minutes by car. The Mervent Forest and Lakes are a 20 minute drive away as is the picturesque village of Vouvant, with its local artists, and provide the opportunity for woodland and lakeside walks.
