This superbly refurbished 5 bedroom 2 bathroom house with swimming pool, sits right by the centre of the pretty town of St Jean d'Angély but is in a quiet road and has a private walled garden. Enter from the garden and south facing terrace through the kitchen or the small bar by the lounge. This is a vast 63m² open plan room with views onto the enclosed garden and pool area. There is a lovely modern fitted kitchen and walk in larder and also a large back kitchen with its own facilities (cooker, hobs, fridge/freezer) which opens onto the covered side terrace with its built in barbecue. The 5 bedrooms are all upstairs, one of the 3 doubles has its own en-suite facilities (shower, basin and WC), while there is also a main shower room and a 2nd separate w/c - the first is downstairs. Bedroom 4 also has access to the balcony which runs the length of the house. The great swimming pool is a new addition for 2017, is part sunken, part above-ground with a wooden terrace surround, perfect for all the family to cool off. You have a choice of shops, cafés and restaurants within 500 meters and there are also 2 big supermarkets within 2kms. There is also a beach lake 2kms away with pédalos, small bars and entertainment in the evenings. You have tennis locally, cycle paths, canoeing, and the coast is 50kms away, the beach at Chatelaillon (55kms) is very popular and the historic town of La Rochelle is another 15kms from there, with its pretty harbour and beautiful centre. The islands of Oléron, Aix and Fort Boyard are also within easy reach as is Cognac 35kms to the South where you can visit the lovely centre and the famous distilleries.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor.
