1960's Holiday house situated on high ground with views over the famous oak woodlands of the Perigord Noir & just 5 minutes from the heart of the breathtaking Vezere valley that brings visitors back to this part of France year after year. Whether its woodland walks, summer days on the river canoeing, Prehistoric cave paintings, Troglodytic dwellings or visiting some of the most beautiful villages/ chateaux France has to offer here is an excellent base to do just that. The newly opened Lascaux 4 in the pretty riverside town of Montignac is just 18kms drive. Light & Simply furnished this holiday property is great for couples or families alike with south facing dining/sitting room & balcony views that's ideal for morning coffee. Three double bedrooms, 2 of which also have great views over the valley share a main shower room & separate toilet. The large kitchen (front, north side) leads into the garage space. A large front terrace is perfect for dinning al - fresco throughout the long, warm summer evenings & there is ample lawn areas for guests in front & around the entire house for secluded sunbathing sessions. The rear side meadows (unfenced) are left wild for hay harvesting & lead directly down to the main, yet small road. A natural pond to the left of the property is securely fenced. The country lane seen on photos gives access to just one other property further down so holiday makers can be assured that its use is infrequent. Rouffignac village, 3kms - Sunday local markets, shops, bank, supermarket. Les Eyzies - National prehistory museum, Canoe hire, shops restaurants, Font de Gaume caves, 14 kms. Rouffignac caves 6kms, is a must visit & is equally accessible for those with young children or with reduced mobility as an electric train takes you through the entire visit. Maison forte de Reignac & Prehisto Park, 4kms, Cliff side chateau that defies gravity & Park next door with activity workshops for children of all ages. Bergerac,60kms, Perigueux 34kms.
