Drive to Cahors (60km), a dramatic town surrounded by the River Lot, to discover the eponymous style of wine produced there. An adventurous spirit will find plenty to do - exploring the caves of Lascaux and Le Pech Merle, horseback riding, or simply going to one of the many weekly farmers markets in the local towns and villages.
