This charming detached stone cottage, with magnificent far reaching views from the terrace of its private infinity swimming pool has been lovingly restored and refurbished to an exceptionally good standard. Great care has been taken to combine traditional features including beams and stone walls with modern facilities.This beautiful countryside location is much sort after as it is just a few minutes drive from two very attractive and historic bastide towns both classified as "The Most Beautiful Villages in France". Monflanquin is the nearest, just 6 km - it has a farmers market on Thursday morning, several bakeries, small shops and boutiques, grocers, restaurants and cafes. Monpazier, 19 km - is considered the most typical example of a bastide in the entire south-west of France. Within a very short drive you will find Château de Biron, Château Gavaudan and the Château de Bonaguil and a little further away are Château de Monbazillac and Château de Duras. There is an 18 hole golf course just 8 km away near Villleréal. For the outdoor enthusiast, there are cycle paths and footpaths galore, horse riding with daily and hourly rates just 10 minutes by car. A popular pastime for visitors to the region is canoeing on the River Dordogne. The whole area is dotted with fields of sunflowers, golden stone buildings and vineyards that offer wine tastings.

The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:

  • A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.

Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself.
