Wonderful Hosts Fantastic Location !
We have just returned from a fantastic couple of weeks staying in the large Gite at The Manoir. We chose the location to celebrate my 60th Birthday with Family and from the time we arrived to when we left we were not disappointed , Rosemary and Richard Conquest were everything and more we were expecting as hosts, it was like visiting old friends. They went out of their way to provide recommendations for the best places to eat and vinyards to visit . Thank you so much both, as Arnie would say ''We'll be back... to celebrate more occasions in the future !!!''

The gite and grounds are absolutely fantastic. We were warmly welcomed by Rosemary and Richard and given as much help with navigating the local area as we needed during our stay. It was a lovely peaceful place to be and the facilities in the gite were superb. There is plenty to do locally but we enjoyed just relaxing in the lovely garden. Nice to have friendly animals to share the facilities with too!
All in all, the best family holiday that weve ever had and were looking forward to returning next year.
Thank you Rosemary and Richard for all of your care and attention!

The Gite is tremendous and Rosemary and Richard with Daisy could not have been more helpful. The area is quiet but that was just what we wanted for the children to run around safely and have a swim. A restaurant /Bar 5 minutes walk away was an excellent break for an early evening aperitif. The Tennis courts and the Pedelo the children also enjoyed.
We had a great time and so easy with Villarenters

We have just returned from 2 weeks staying at the gite - and none of us wanted to come home. The house is lovely - antique furniture, attractively decorated rooms and plenty of bathrooms (all bedrooms are en suite which, with 2 adults and 3 teenagers, was invaluable). An indoor BBQ in the conservatory/dining room was great fun. I think what we enjoyed most was the grounds, which are heavenly - huge gardens, beautifully planted with shrubs and trees, so that the view from every window is glorious. The chapel and the manor itself are perfect. There is a boating lake that was enormous fun, and a 5 minute stroll away is a very good bar/restaurant beside a lake where there are pedaloes for hire. The swimming pool in the grounds was great...made me feel I was fighting off the croissants! There is masses to do nearby. We avoided the really big, famous chateaux (couldnt bear the idea of braving enormous queues!) but found lots of smaller ones nearby, all beautiful and fascinating - eg Loches with its medieval citadel, Montresor, Valencay and Selles sur Cher which was intriguing because of its vast dilapidation...a great crumbling ruin, half furnished. There are many markets and small villages and towns to potter around in, an enormous zoo nearby...though often what we wanted to do was sit in the garden of the gite and read, and wish we lived there! The hosts were wonderful - helpful about local attractions/shopping hours etc, and fascinating to talk to. The dog and the two pigs were added attractions...and you can buy milk straight from the cow at the neighbouring farm. A heavenly holiday...we really didnt want to come home!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Manor and I would recommend it to anyone. The location of the Manor is ideal for those wanting to tour the Loire Valley, the Chateaux, and the Loire wine country. Richard and his staff were very gratious and friendly they went out of their way to help us, especially the first day when we arrived very late.
