Modern apartment (36m²) positioned perfectly for both your winter and summer holiday with spectacular panoramic views over the village of Chatel. Situated on south-facing slopes, just 5-10 minutes walk to the village centre and a short walk to the nearest chair lift, linking into the Portes du Soleil – one of the world’s largest linked ski areas with 650 kms of pistes. The apartment has one double bedroom with built-in spacious wardrobe; two bunks and a double fold-out sofa bed. Garage and ski and boot locker on ground floor. The apartment is also on the free bus route connecting it with the major skiing areas of Chatel. Reliable local airport transfer is available on request . A car is not essential.

Chatel Area
Chatel is situated in the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area: 40Kms south of Evian (on Lake Geneva), in the Abondance Valley and 3kms from the Swiss village of Morgins. Chatel is a pretty French ski resort with a Swiss feel. It has retained its original village charm while it has blossomed with the growth of snow sports. More recently the summer season has become popular with hundreds of marked itineraries for mountain bikers and walkers. Its reputation for snow in winter and its temperate summer climate is ideal. Apartment Vivaldi is a short walk from the centre of the village with its many restaurants, bars and shops but is on a quiet road with spectacular mountain views. Close to the Swiss border this is a great centre for touring the lakes and mountains of France, Switzerland and Northern Italy. Just 1.5 hours transfer from Geneva airport and 40 minutes drive from Aigle Railway station in Switzerland. The ski lifts are only a short walk from the apartment and there is an excellent free bus service that access the other lifts in the Portes du Soleil region. The ski lifts are also open during July and August when the mountains can be enjoyed on foot or mountain bike; or alternatively from the comfort of the terrace of mountain restaurants.

The Chalet block was built in 2002. All fittings and furnishings are modern and of high quality.

During summer the only distractions to be heard are the sounds of cow bells!

Hikes/walks all marked out with distance and time marked on them. Visit many of the cheese-making farm houses along the way.

Bike hire available in the village. It is possible to take mountain bikes up on the chair lifts in July/August and cycle down!

The property itself was modern, clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay with fantastic views. The chalet is perfectly placed for all activities ie hiking, mountain-biking and has some fantastic restaurants just 10mins walk away in the village. We went by car and took just 8hours from Dunkerque with beautiful scenery all the way. Would recommend to anyone looking for either an activity holiday or somewhere to relax.
We found the Vivaldi apartment though recommendation and would heartily recommend it to others. The short transfer enabled us to have nearly a full day's skiing on our departure day and we were blessed with almost perfect conditions. Helen Kewney, Peterborough
We found the apartment an excellent base for our family ski holiday. The fittings and furniture were all modern and the views quite simply stunning. Our 2 young children used one of the local ski schools and we combined the local village amenities and restaurants with some fun nights in. Although the bus stops right outside the apartment's drive, we hired skis at the bottom of the Super Chatel lifts and found the 10-minute walk wasn't a problem.Mr & Mrs J Murray, Lincolnshire

Good view of the village and not a long walk from the bus stop. The apartment was nicely furnished, clean and not cramped. We found that we had everything we needed. In the summer the South facing balcony would be lovely. We would happily stay again as Chatel was a friendly resort.
