Stayed Jul 2014 - Family
Upon arrival we were upgraded free of charge to Sunflower Cottage, the detached gîte at the end of the drive, so please note the review applies to this property.
The owners Colleen and Keith, who live next door, could not have been more welcoming, friendly, chatty and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in the gîte. It was well fitted-out, comfortable and roomy. The gardens were well kept but informalthere was loads of space to run around inand trees to shade under. Plenty of rustic charm in the setting of the gîte with lovely views and sunsets in as quiet a sleepy hamlet as you could wish for.
The main town of Saint-Jean-dAngély is a mere 10 minutes away by car with E.Leclerc and Intermarché supermarkets convenient to keep you supplied.
Would recommend this gîte as its very reasonably priced and will likely be going back again in the future.
Large gardens with fields behind, outstanding views of the forest within walking distance. Off road parking. Safe and secure drive with gates.
Stunning night skys spectacular during June with no other distracting lights to interfere with the cosmic display.
