Beautiful seafront villa for 2 to 6 people with use of swimming pool. The villa has panoramic picture windows and a huge terrace from which to soak up the sea views.
We designed the villa to be our dream place to stay, a comfortable home with an amazing seafront location and a flavour of the middle east in its design. Because it is on the first floor and there are no higher buildings in the area it was possible to build a large terrace that combines privacy with panoramic sea views. The front living area/second bedroom has large picture windows and doors onto the terrace, with the aim of bringing the views and light into the villa. The front of the villa is shaded by a wooden slatted pergola and a palm tree that grows up through the terrace.
We have incorporated traditional Arabic designs in the carved wood doors, ceilings, and furniture, all made by local craftsmen. We built a Morrocan-style tiled bathroom with steps up to a raised bath.
The villa adjoins a small hotel (Seaview Hotel) and has a separate side entrance (up a flight of stairs). The balcony of the master bedroom looks over the hotel swimming pool, which along with all hotel facilities can be used by villa guests. The hotel has its own dive centre which can rent snorkel gear as well as organising dives and PADI dive courses. Hotel staff can book trips, taxis, provide a laundry service (the laundry in Dahab is very cheap, around 10 pence per item), and are happy to advise guests on any aspect of their stay. In addition they can have meals sent up to the villa and arrange for shopping and fresh bread to be delivered.
The housekeeping staff will clean the villa daily (see below for charge) and will ensure that there is a welcome pack of bottles of water and milk and fresh fruit as well as tea, coffee, and sugar.
Please note that young children should be supervised on the terrace and the balcony of the master bedroom.
I fell in love with Dahab over 16 years ago and have long wanted to build a villa here but couldnt find the right location. Bringing my husband and young baby to Dahab made me want a home here even more. When the chance to build a villa right on the seafront in the Masharaba area came up we were very happy. In addition we were building in partnership with one of my oldest friends in Dahab, which meant that we could use the best local craftsmen and materials.
The Mashraba area is a quiet and clean area of Dahab on the seafront next to a beautiful and pristine stretch of coral reef, with soft and hard corals and an amazing variety of fish. The coral reef that is right on your doorstep is one of the best in the world - and you can be snorkelling on it 30 seconds after leaving the villa.
Dahab is a relaxed small coastal resort centred around snorkelling, scuba diving, exploring the mountains and desert and Bedouin way of life, windsurfing, swimming, or just relaxing on the beach or under the palm trees in one of the many beachfront cafes and restaurants.
It has grown from being a tiny backpacker hideaway but has kept its laidback charm, relaxed pace of life, and beauty - the incredible setting with the backdrop of the Sinai mountains behind the resort and the beautiful Red Sea coast with mountains that glow in the sunset on the other side of the Gulf of Aqaba is unbeatable.
Trips can be arranged by the hotel that adjoins the villa to Mount Sinai and St Katherines monastery, desert canyons and safaris, nature reserves, other snorkelling and diving sites such as the famous Blue Hole. Travel by jeep or by camel or taxi or spend an afternoon quad biking...or just enjoy relaxing and soaking up the scenery from the villa terrace.
We can arrange transfers from Sharm el Sheikh airport to the villa - cost is about £20 total for a taxi or minibus and the transfer takes around an hour to an hour and a quarter. Quotes for transfers from other airports/locations available on request.
Communication was great leading up to the holiday, and the staff at the Sea View hotel were helpful in arranging transport from the airport which was waiting for us when we landed. We were warmly welcomed on arrival at the hotel, and were shown up to the villa, which was nice and cool thanks to the air conditioning which had been switched on in advance. The villa was nice and felt like home straight away. It has a kitchen bar which opens to the main living area, and the terrace is wonderful as promised, private but with great views.
Throughout the holiday, the staff were helpful and attentive, and we were able to organise many activities directly including camel riding, quad bikes and bedouin dinner in the mountains. The restaurants adjoining the hotel are good, and all along the sea front to the town there are many more bars and restaurants to try too. Behind the hotel is another road which also leads to the town, which contains many food and clothes shops, including an Egyptian bakery and large cafe which was frequented by the locals.
All in all it was a great holiday for us, and great choice of hotel.

A perfect place to relax and unwind, the villa met all our expectations. It is situated at the quieter end of Dahab and is peaceful and very private. We loved having breakfast and simple meals on the terrace and also ate out in the huge variety of restaurants along the promenade.
The description of the villa and the photographs on the website portray the villa accurately. The view from the terrace is stunning - it is lovely looking out to sea (the Gulf of Aqaba), with the coast of Saudi Arabia on the other side. We certainly felt that the villa was good value for money. Taxis especially and also the restaurants are pretty cheap.
I would certainly recommend the villa to friends who prefer to experience authentic Egypt rather than an all-inclusive holiday at one of the larger 5* hotels. It was very comfortable for the two of us and would suit a family with young children. Im not sure I would take my teenagers - the layout isnt ideal and I think wed all feel too much on top of each other. The bath tap didnt work terribly well and the bathroom could be better lit. The kitchen equipment is fine for simple meals.
The hotel was in the middle of a staff changeover, but after the initial problems, which they sorted out, we were generally happy. Adel, the manager, looked after us very well.
It was quite windy during our stay, so we were unable to snorkel just below the villa, but we had some fantastic snorkelling at the Three Pools (we also went to the Blue Hole - and can see the attraction for divers, but it is much busier and more commercial) and loved the fact that the coral there was so shallow and the fish so close to the shore. The Camel restaurants at both were superb!
We combined a trip to St Katherines Monastery with a walk through the White Canyon (awesome!) following lunch in a Bedouin tent in the oasis, which was one of the best days of the holiday. We did a trip in a glass bottomed boat (on our first day, prior to snorkelling, which gave us a taste of what to expect), but rather regretted opting for the Bedouin dinner (which was clearly ye olde imitation of the genuine thing!). We tended to book our activities through Dahab Safari Trips, who offered the most competitive prices (King Safari, Dyarna Safari and the Seaview Hotel were generally slightly more expensive).
We shopped for food in the MAIN Ghazala Supermarket (adjacent to the fish statue in the centre of Dahab - NOT the much smaller Ghazala market in the street running parallel to the promenade, just behind the villa and near the Christina Beach hotel, which had a very limited stock!). The main Ghazala Supermarket is just past the police station from memory. Next to it is the fabulous Ralphs German bakery where we bought our croissants every morning. Another shop deserving a mention is the Baclava stall in the market - delicious!
A wonderful villa which I would definitely recommend!

Perfect location for a busy or a quiet holiday. The snorkelling from the front of the appartment is amazing on days when the sea is still. Many good restaurants to try within easy walking distance, and anything that isnt in walking distance can be got to by hailing a taxi which costs next to nothing. hotel staff also able to help with booking anything you can think of...

The property was great I would only suggest installing a new shower as the one in the bathroom was not that great. Also some of the light bulbs didnt function but that is just a minor point.
The staff at the hotel were really friendly and we had a great honeymoon at Sea View Villa.
Dear Chris many thanks for your review, Im so glad that you had a great honeymoon, and congratulations again! Ive passed on your comments to the villa manager and they have replaced the lightbulbs that were not working and replaced the shower head - Im sorry that these werent working properly during your stay, but very glad you had a great honeymoon nonetheless. We do ask if guests can please ask the villa manager if anything breaks/needs replacing while they are there as wed much rather the villa was perfect for your stay (especially lightbulbs - the quality available in Dahab isnt great so they do tend to need replacing quite a lot). with best wishes Sarah

The villa is in a perfect location, only a short walk to shops and restaurants etc. The villa is very well equipt with everything you need to cook and store food. The bathroom can become slippery when wet but you just have to be careful. The roof terrace is stunning and the views spectacular. The hotel next door is lovely and the staff fantastic.
The only thing I would suggest is a wardrobe in the second sleeping area. There were three of us and the third person did not have anywhere to hang their clothes.
Apart from this, everything is excellent and I will definatley recommend to friends and we want to return ourselves.

Hello Sarah,This is just to say you that we appreciated very much the comfort of your apartment, its location and the overall "Dahab style" atmosphere. I hope that when we come next time in Dahab we will have again the occasion to stay at Sea View Villa,All the best,Nicolas, Polina and the small Anastasia :)
All went very well at the villa: what an absolutely beautiful place! Will definitely be recommending it to friends. Particularly impressed with the terrace and the fabulous view...and also the lovely furniture.Mohammed was very helpful, and all the staff at the hotel were lovely.Cleaning was a bit erratic, but fine for our needs. Thanks for your help tooJane, Ben, and Robin
The property sleeps 2 luxuriously, 4 comfortably, and 6 at most. It consists of a master double bedroom with a four-poster bed and private balcony and a second bedroom with two double beds (or one double plus a sofa) and a lounge/dining area (with two sofa beds) that fronts onto the sea view terrace.
If the sofa beds in the lounge are used, then up to 6 people can stay, but those in the lounge area have less privacy as this area is open to the kitchen via the breakfast bar. If just one or two people are staying and just one bedroom is needed, then the second bedroom can be opened via sliding doors to create one large lounge area with panoramic views over the terrace and Red Sea.
We have a gas hob installed in the kitchen.
The villa adjoins a small hotel and all hotel facilities, including the swimming pool, can be used by villa guests.
