Overview

Vouni Lodge offers a unique holiday experience at the relaxed pace of traditional village life. The authentic rustic charm, crystal air, unspoilt nature, and local culture offer an added dimension compared to more typical holiday destinations.
The lodge is licensed by the Cyprus Tourist Organisation and has been in operation for the last 10 years. Our guests are both local urban citizens looking for a relaxing break and overseas visitors who combine a tranquil vacation with sightseeing.

This beautiful two storey stone house was built more than two hundred years ago has been restored to its original splendour and also benefits from modern facilities. The lodge consists of three fully equipped apartments each with their own private facilities. All have access to the large stone courtyard and garden. Bordering the property are pomegranates, walnuts, lemons and fig trees.


Angelica Apartment
The Angelica is the top apartment and is a favourite with families. The accommodation has one double bedroom, large sitting/dining area with divan and sofa bed for additional sleeping, shower room and fully equipped kitchenette. It also has its own private sit out balcony where you can spend your evenings relaxing and enjoying views of the village or just watching the stars.

The Local Area
Vouni is at the heart of the ancient wine region of Cyprus. For those interested in wine they will have the opportunity to visit many small independent local wineries and sample their produce. It shares a beautiful climate with the rest of the island but at 2000ft altitude, the air is clearer and local breezes relieve the heat at the height of the summer.

The village benefits from spectacular views over the surrounding hills and on a clear day the sea can be seen from afar. An abundance of wild shrubs and wildlife make this area a haven for the great out doors, especially birdwatchers, hikers and amblers.

The village boasts three taverns all within walking distance from the lodge, where you can enjoy a real Cypriot Meze and local wine in the evening. For those who wish to take breakfast this can be arranged locally on your arrival.

The Troodos Mountains with its many places of interest such as medieval monasteries, nature trails and wildlife is a short drive away.

Limassol town is a 30 minutes drive where guests can visit the busy shopping streets or enjoy the fabulous beaches and nightlife.
For those who take an interest in historical heritage, there are many archaeological sites to visit – including: Curium amphitheatre, Appollo temple, Kolossi castle and Amathus.
If you are a keen Golfer you can visit some of the best Golf Courses on the island. Both Aphrodite Hills and Secret Valley are within 30 minutes drive.

The advice and help we received from Helen via email before the holiday was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay in Angelica, although it did not have the same character as the other 2 apartments, it was still extremely comfortable with a separate lounge and kitchen, plus the added benefit of a lovely balcony with fantastic views. Helen and Tony were a lovely couple and when they were not available they kept in touch via text messages and made sure we were looked after by Tracy. We came away feeling wed made new friends and very relaxed after our stay. The complimentary bottles of their own wine also helped. Vouni is a lovely village but somewhat isolated therefore making a car essential. When feeling energetic there are many walks to be had in and around the village. These are a must as the sights and sounds are unbelievable. Takis Taverna provides a fantastic meze and well worth a visit. Alexandros Taverna provides excellent food of a different variety.

Lovely setting in the heart of traditional vineyards with the property retaining its historic character while providing all mod cons. Hosts were very knowledgable and provided info away from the main tourists routes. Superb views of the area, with the peace and tranquility in the evening gazing into the sky at the stars.
Dear Helen and Toni, we would like to tell you that we had a wonderful stay at your guest house in Vouni. We enjoyed Cyprus very much, especially the nice countryside around Vouni. Nikosia was interesting, but a little bit harder, because temperatures were very high. When we came back to Austria, there were 3°C in the night and snow lies nearly down to the valley. Please see attached a photo with your father, Paula and me in the Vouni kafeinion and a photo of Anna + Paula worrking in our vineyard in Hungary. Best regards, Thomas
