There were 6 of us staying, a mix of family and friends ages 16 - 48. We absolutely loved our stay at Nissi Golden Sands A1, D16.
The apartment is roughly a 10 minute walk to Nissi Beach, maybe even less.
Small supermarkets can be reached within a 5 minute walk.
We recommend eating out seeing how it's very affordable compared to buying food at the supermarkets, drinks and other essentials however are alright pricewise. We were told by locals that it is cheaper to go grocery shopping in the next town over so if you're renting a car none of the above should be a problem. (Protaras, it's about a 15 minute drive.)
The walk into Ayia Napa is nice with restaurants, shops and the odd bar on the way however it takes 30 minutes to get to the square and not 20 as described in the property details.
Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay in the apartment.
The only recommendation we would have had would be to install some lighting throughout the resort itself as it is very dark walking in and out of the resort at night.

Family from Nykvarn, Sweden Jul 2016

Me and my family(husband an children ages 5 and 9) just got back home after spending 17 wonderful days at Nissi Golden Sands D16. Our overall experience was awesome. The apartment was just as the ad described and the location was great. The information folder was good help and we found it easy to grab the bus when we wanted to go to central Ayia Napa and the water land. The closeness to Nissi beach was perfect and we enjoyed living in a calm area since we wanted a low key family vacation. The pool was very appreciated after the beach with afternoon sun and good facilities. The pool area could have been more appealing with som green plants and some tables but other than that it was great. We appreciated that is was locked so that only guests in the area had access. The check-in and check-out was very simple and the arrival kit I ordered was well worth the money since we arrived late at night. Also having a key lock box makes it very simple.
All contact regarding the apartment was easy and we quickly got the help we asked for which was awesome!

I can really recommend this area for couples or families who want a vacation that´s nice, relaxed and away from the partying. We also found the stores that were at walking distance to be enough. I can highly recommend the apartment and the big terrass with the eveningsun makes it a perfect place for hanging out and just filling up with lots of energy. It was nice and clean and the only thing that I missed was basically a working garlic press and a can-opener that worked. And for the area some lights from the main road up to block A1 would be nice since it was very dark walking there after sunset.

If me and my family would go again we would most definitely consider the apartment or a house in the area.

Nice apartment, very spacious and situated in a quiet area. Fully equipped with all the appliances that you need.
The only things that I didn't like was the lack of free Wi-Fi (and the charges for it were to high) and the fact that you have to clean the property before you leave.

I had stayed in another facility before moving to Golden Sands, which is why I can safely compare the 2 and give Golden Sands a 5/5. Great location, value for money, safe and pleasant.
The only downside was the outsourced internet provider, which had appalling service. i would gladly pay more for an in-house service.

Very pleased overall with the accommodation which had everything we needed for our weeks stay. We were a little confused with the parking space for D16 but wasnt a problem for most of the week as there were other empty spaces to use. I have stayed at similar places around the area that have a pool closer to the apartments - so we never used. The communal pool. The estate is overall very dark after sunset. The veranda is very large and spacious and gets the sun all day long - it was lovely to sit out until late at night. There were some noisy residents near by who we partying until 5am on one or two occasions although the direct neighbours were very considerate and werent noisy at all. the key system is great and works effectively and efficiently. We were also pleased with the additional purchase of a welcome hamper as we arrived in the early hours of the morning and were grateful for it. The location is ideal and very close to Nissi Beach - great for our teenage sons. It is however a good 45 mins walk to Ayia Napa which can be tedious in the hot weather but we hired a car and would drive into Napa in the daytime but had a comfortable walk in the evenings. The apartment is near by a great selec tion of restaurants and bars and there are a couple of supermarkets near by. A great choice I would highly recommend based on our experience there.

We have just stayed in Nissi Beach Golden Sands apartment D16 and had agreat time. The apartment was bigger than expected and the balcony was huge, easily fitting the 4 sunbeds and large table and chairs supplied, plus plenty of room to move around. But the best part of the balcony was that it had the sun all day. Views left a little to be desired as there is some building work going on but it was far enough away not to bother us. The communial pool can be seen from the balcony so we were happy to let our teenage children go down for a swim while we soaked up the sun on the balcony.
The apartment was clean and spacious with plenty of storage and hanging space including hangers. The airconditioning is controlled separately in each room. Everything you will need is provided and more we kept finding things as the week went on, an air bed, a bucket and spade, a clothes brush and much more.. There is a hairdryer that isnt mentioned in the description they have even supplied a variety of DVDs, CDs and books to suit a variety of ages and tastes. This is possibly because the satellite tv ws a bit of a waste of time but who goes on holiday to watch TV. I expect you would like to know exactly where it is situated because i know i did. Well here goes. If you go onto google earth that you can download for free and search Cyprus first the add nissi beach and search again. Zoom close to nissi island (on the left) and you will find Adams Beach Hotel. Directly behind that is the Atlantica Aeneas and directly behind that is a large green patch. The Golden Sands Resort has been built to the right on what looks like a dirt track. We went to a wedding at the Adams beach and i would say it was a maximum 10 min stroll away. The only negative aspect i can pick up on is about the complex itself. There is no lighting on the main walk up to the apartment. i am hoping this is because the complex is not completely finished but this needs to be addressed as it was a bit dark on the walk home at night. The complex was very quiet when we were there as it was only the begining of the season and i am sure the lighting from individual apartments will help as the season gets busier but i feel that it is something that the developers need to put right. Overall we had a lovely holiday in fantastic accomodation and if we ever come back to Cyprus we would book this apartment again
