Apartment overview - owner's description
Luxury 2 bed ground floor apartment in Mandria Village. Full A/C, Ceiling fans in bedrooms, Communal pool, childrens pool, own garden and car space. 20 mins walk to beach, 5 mins airport
Mandria is a tradtional village set in rural countryside. A quiet beach of sand and pebbles is 5 minutes away by car (15 minutes walking) along a flat single track road passing through open fields. Around the apartments there is a walkway with plants and orange trees. There is some building work around the area at the moment however, we have not found this intrusive.
In Mandria there is a village square with two tavernas, one restaurant, a fish bar and two cafe bar where you will always receive a friendly welcome. Two mini markets, a hairdressers, a beauty therapy shop and childrens play area are all close by. Paphos is 15 minutes drive away with lots of shops, antiquities, restaurants, harbour and beaches. Aphrodite Hills and Secret Valley golf courses are 15-20 minutes drive away. The Troodos Mountains around 40 minutes away
Transport and General Information
A car is recommended whilst staying in Mandria, although there is a bus service into Paphos from the village (see timetable in the village) and there are plenty of taxis to choose from. Mandria is ideally placed for sight seeing as the motorway is just a few minutes away and will take you from one end of Cyprus to the other. Driving is easy as it is the same as in the UK - driving on the left and all the information signs are in English.
The front garden consists of an assortment of plants, patio with table and two chairs. The rear south facing garden, which gets the sun all day, consists of various plants. There is a patio with a table and four chairs and a small BBQ. There are four sunloungers and parasols for the use of guests. This is a non-smoking apartment, however smoking is allowed in the garden area.
For Rentals of 10-14 days bed linen and towels will be changed midway through your stay (included in the price). If you wish to have the apartment cleaned at the same time there will be an additional charge. A welcome pack of bread, butter, milk, tea, coffee and sugar will be provided on request and payable locally.

Fantastic apartment, clean, well equipped and furnished. It was lovely to receive a phone call from the owner before our visit to clarify details for check-in etc. Will recommend and would also book this apartment again in the future.

I stayed in this property for a week in August 2011 with my two daughters (7& 3), partner and mum , we all had a great time and the apartment is excellently maintained and very clean and in addition equiped with everything that you could possibly need, a real home from home! And perfectly located for visiting various sites. You will most definitely need a car if you are intending to go out and about. Would rent this property again next time I am visiting Cyprus!!!
The apartment was excellent. Very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Mandria is a lovely village and we had a very relaxing and enjoyable time. Would highly recommend this apartment.
I stayed here for one week in August 2010 with my family (husband and 2 children aged 10 and 8). We all agreed that the apartment was very extremely well equipped and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything that we needed and all the equipment still looked very new and in excellent condition. It was also a real treat to have a washing machine to be able to freshen up the beach towels that we brought with us. The bed linen and bathroom towels belonging to the apartment were in excellent condition and I had the feeling that the owners, and other people staying there before us, had taken good care of the apartment and all its contents. I was pleased there was a broom and dustpan/brush as I like to sweep up all the time on sandy holidays. Also, there was plenty of hot water and the shower was sufficiently powerful. (I pay particular attention to this, having stayed in plenty of hotels with pathetic dribbles of tepid water.) There were even folding beds tucked neatly away in a cupboard for us to take over to the pool area, which was clean as well as the pool itself. The only slight difficulty I could mention was for my husband who, at nearly 6 foot 5, found the bed a bit short... but we can hardly expect that to be catered for.
The beach in the immediate area of Mandryia was OK for a quick visit to dig around in rock pools but a bit does not have fine sand and the sea was a bit rough with rather an undertow. I found it too far for easy walking distance especially with the high August temperatures. However, as we had a hire car we were able to go to the kind of beach that I wanted easily enough. From the apartment it was easy to walk up into the village for the shop and restaurants, also for the children.
Mandryia itself was a fine location for the things we wanted to do. We could reach the Paphos mosaics easily, we had a very enjoyable outing to the Neophytos monastery and my husband was out birdwatching every day at various sites, including the Troodos mountains and the Ladys Mile beach area. The other residents of Zephyros village were very friendly and welcoming without being at all intrusive and there was even a resident bird watcher who was very kind and friendly to my husband. On leaving, we regretted that we had not booked a longer holiday as there were still so many things that we would have liked to do.
