History & Concept
Villa Doyan was completed in early 2006 on a plot selected and purchased by the owners back in 2003. Based on their own happy memories of holidays taken with family and friends the plan was to create an individual holiday villa ideally suited for an extended family or two families sharing. This called for lots of interesting outdoor areas for socialising, but also the space and privacy to be able to escape from the constant fun and games to sunbathe and relax.
The villa is located on the crest of a hill mid way between the sea and the mountains, enjoying fantastic views of both but with the added benefit of a cooling breeze. It is about 5 miles west of Kyrenia (Girne) and 45 minutes from Ercan airport. The nearest village is Karaoglanoglu (2 miles away) where there are three excellent supermarkets and many places to eat.
The Villa itself was excellent, as was the help offered by the villa owner with regards to organising car hire and transfers to and from Larnaca airport. The pool was fabulous, if not a little cold for the kids during the mornings despite the searing temperatures of the day.
There were lots of places of interest/ beaches around Erdemit and the villa owner, and property manager offered invaluable advice on the best things to see and do, and also provided great restaurant reviews, so we always ate well!
The major down side to the villa was the construction work taking place within 100m (or less) from the front door – taking a dip in the pool during the day was under the watchful eyes of the local builders! The roads in the direct vicinity of the villa were war torn at best and only to be handled by confident drivers.
Our families loved the whole experience of visiting Northern Cyprus and staying at Villa Doyan, unfortunately the construction work seriously lowered our opinion of the villa in general.
We were sorry to hear that guests to our villa had a problem with nearby construction. Like much of North Cyprus, building projects are springing up around our villa (although we are pleased to say that they don’t get in the way of the great views over the pool to the sea and mountains). Building work on these plots is very sporadic – some have been partially built with nothing happening for the last three years - so it is difficult to know (and impossible to control) when work might be going on. Most of the time they are deserted.

This property is a stunning villa with a lovely pool and excellent views..
We have just spent two weeks here. This is our second time to Kyrenia, it is so lovely and quiet.
The villa is very spacious and clean.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Villa Doyan in July 2010. The villa catered for 10 of us in comfort, the owners having thought of pretty much everything you might need whilst on holiday. Highlights included:
* The pool and pool area - nice size infinity pool, great view.
* The bbq area - excellent, was well used during our ten day stay. The small bar fridge in bbq area was a nice touch.
* Well equipped kitchen - pretty much everything you would need.
* Provision of two local mobile phones - excellent idea, much cheaper than using UK based mobiles to check up on what each of us were up to.
* Great guide from the owners with lots of useful information.
Its worth noting that the roads to the villa have recently been paved, so we experienced no problems getting to it with a normal rental car.
Although the villa certainly does sleep 10, 2 of your party will be sleeping on (large comfortable) sleeper couches in the lounge for this to work. Wasnt a problem with us as we had several children in out party and they were more than happy with the arrangements.
Wed certainly recommend to others.

The property was better than expected as it was exceptionally well equiped and had a stunning view especially of the sun set. The manager was attentive through out our stay. It was immaculate inside and out and we felt the owners had gone that extra mile to make sure that our stay was memorable. In particular the information pack was really informative and comprehensive. Another nice touch was the supply of two phones, on cyprus tariffs which saved money both on local and international calls.

Set against a backdro p of majestic mountains, lazing in the crystal clear infinity pool whilst overlooking the sun drenched coast of the Mediterranean - now that is what holiday means to me. All this and a villa that welcomes you as soon as you open the door, begins to describe the setting of Villa Doyan, situated in the foothills SW of Kyrenia. A holiday that promises much yet delivers even more. An experience that we will definitely be repeating!
We had a wonderful stay at your villa. The family all thought how well designed it was with so many different outside areas, excellent and spacious accommodation and so well equipped. Thank you also for organising the taxis and the car hire, it all worked out so well as Bird were efficient, friendly and easy to deal with. We will have many happy memories of BBQs and eating outside under the loggia in the evenings looking at the wonderful sunsets and magnificent views.
We had a terrific week at Villa Doyan. Everything was as the website promised and more. Very well situated with wonderful views of the sea and mountains and high enough to catch the breeze. The owners area guide was very comprehensive and well thought out. We would highly recommend this villa.
We stayed at Villa Doyan in August 2010 and had a wonderful time there. The owners have gone to great lengths to make the villa very comfortable, it is very spacious and extremely well and thoughtfully equipped, and an added bonus is the air conditioning which we found essential at night. We particularly enjoyed the space in the garden, where there are places to catch the sun but also shady spots, and the pool is absolutely magnificent. The villa’s aspect is westerly, which ensures you can enjoy the sun all day long and witness some of the most stunning sunsets, whilst still swimming in the pool, or enjoying a glass of wine on one of the terraces. North Cyprus has many things to offer its visitors, historical sites, some stunning views and a fantastic choice of food. This was our first visit and we know it won’t be our last. Would we stay at Villa Doyan again? Absolutely!!
"Thanks for the great facilities you provided. We all appreciated you allowing us to share your well equipped villa. You were most definitely correct about the infinity pool - the view for within the pool at sunset is stunning. Also congratulations on your management team selec tion. They were truly attentive and responded to our concerns promptly and efficiently. We will certainly recommend your facilities to our friends." David, Leighton Buzzard
