Istria is a peninsula located on the far north of Croatia, and also on the Italian border, so there is a lot of Italian influence felt in the area. Sun-soakers, history-buffs and food-focused travellers alike visit Istria, as many of the towns and regions are rich in secluded beaches, historical must-sees and some of the finest delicacies - including olive oil, truffles and perfect wine.
The area has a varied climate along the peninsula, from a continental climate around Central Istria to a Mediterranean climate in along the Western and Southern Coast.
This villa is located in Peroj on the southwest coast of Istria. It is an incredibly old town, dating back to prehistoric times, which is evident in the necropolis within the ancient walls of the city. It is a little Istrian paradise, with stunning ocean views.
There is plenty to do in the area, and it is also close to other holiday hot-spot destinations like Pula, a city rich in history and cultural monuments, Rovinj is a town on the western coast of Istria with rich natural heritage and Medulin a town with a long coastline that is somewhat of a modern tourist centre.
