Villa overview - owner's description

3 bedroom house overlooking harbour in village of Milna on island of Braè.

Situated on the island of Braè, approximately 20km from the main ferry port of Supetar, Milna has a population of around 700. The local economy is largely based on fishing with numerous small fishing boats moored around the harbour wall.
Milna is a uniquely positioned 17th century village situated in a natural harbour at the western end of the island. It is often referred to as millionaires harbour due to the large number of exclusive yachts which moor there during the summer.

Spasenka villa
Spasenka Villa is part of an old wine and olive oil warehouse converted into a house during the last century. It is built of stone with tiled and wooden floors. It has recently been renovated and now offers comfortable family accommodation. One of the main features is a large terrace overlooking Milna harbour. The terrace has a large awning, comfortable wooden furniture and a barbecue, to optimise the outdoor life. During the summer months there is often live music in the centre of the village. The terrace is a great place from which to enjoy this.

There are 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6: 1 double and 2 twins. A sofa bed is also available in the living room. The double and one of the twin rooms have views over the harbour.

The kitchen is fully equipped and the dining room has chairs for 8.
On the ground floor there are 2 shower rooms and 2 toilets. There is also a washing machine. The sunny terrace is the ideal place the dry wet clothes and towels.

On arrival at the property the views are breathtaking, a peaceful, quaint harbour with magnificent old houses in front of rolling hills. The house itself is very tastefully decorated, very clean and well equipped. The roof terrace is exceptional, allowing you to while away the days watching the comings and goings of local fishermen and holiday yachts. There are three good size bedrooms, lots of wardrobe and cupboard space and a very well equipped kitchen.
There are plenty of local shops, bars and restaurants and a good Tourist Information Office. Within a few hundred metres there is a pharmacy, bakery and wine cellar (also selling beautiful olive oil) several supermarkets and fresh fruit and vegetables at the morning market. The restaurant Gajeta is highly recommended, offering exceptional quality and a great menu. The pizza restaurant was also pretty good too. The locals are exceptionally friendly and very helpful.
We did not have a hire car but found that to get to the island and resort was a fairly simple process coach from outside the airport, then a short walk to the ferry, once on board we were approached by a taxi rep and negotiated a good deal to get to Milna from Supetar. Daily ferries run to Hvar from Milna and it is well worth a visit if you do decide to get a hire car to explore Brac, it can be arranged at the Tourist Information Office.
It is a wonderful property in a fabulous setting and very highly recommended.

Great view, great terrace. In a very calm fishing village.

From Surrey

A really nice house in a great village. Super view over the harbour with BBQ and cold drink. Watch the superyachts of the rich parking.

Croatia is easy place to travel and not expensive once there.

I would strongly recommend a car. We rented one at the marina in Milna and was not expensive. Meant we could visit rest of Brac where some of the beaches are nicer.

Nice places to eat locally - the pizza place over the water is fantastic.

Not a fault of the villa but be careful on the transport to and from. Near impossible to get from Milna to Split Airport for an early flight without paying a lot for a private water taxi.

From Edenbridge

Spasenka Villa was a great place to spend the week (Late July). It was well equipped and located making it a very good base for a holiday with its definite highlight being the roof terrace.

Milna is charming and stylish albeit a little noisey some evenings. This was compensated for by the lovely veiws and general convenience of the place. Swimming and sunbathing at the nearby beach were fun and more secluded and peaceful places were only 5minutes or so away.

From Cape Town

Wonderful, Exceptional, Romantic, Picturesque

I wish there was enough superlatives that could describe the peace, the quiet, tranquility of Milna and Brac

We had a wonderful stay. We explored Dalmatia and Croatia and was plesantly surprised and refreshed - fabulous weather, delightful gastronomy (food, wine & beer & impeccable service), amazing, colourful, friendly locals

Our compliments to the owner of Spasenka Villa. He has found and is maintaining a real jewel in the Adriatic
